Most of the path was downhill. There was only one challenging uphill part. The ride took us about an hour with photo breaks.

Thank you. Was it a steep downhill? Or manageable? Asking because we are somewhat beginners

Manageable. We are not athletic types and did just fine. Just check the bikes you choose once you go down and make sure the breaks and gears are working fine. Mine had a bad gear that made it more difficult on the incline. I got off the bike and walked up the hill instead. Glad we did this excursion. This was one of our favorites on the Norway cruise.
