Just a regular middle age dude getting back into mountain biking after 10 years being away from the sport I love. The trails are calling but can my lungs keep up lol. Two kids a wife & a mortgage, yet we need to find the time to get out there. As my logo says "Out of Shape & in the Trails". Hit me up for rides or comments and watch me as I get in shape and get back on my MTB. Thanks for checking out my channel, like, subscribe & hit the notification bell.
October ride...
Well call it earthly heating, weather patterns becoming different or just awesome! I am wearing shorts & a T-shirt riding in October! 🤣 It's been just over a month since my surgery and I feel pretty good so I had to take advantage of this amazing weather and get out for a ride. Thanks for watching!

Red Rock Bicycle Shop in St. George Utah

This is a super quick video showcasing this awesome Bike Shop in St. George Utah. They have a total of 3 stores but this is the one I rented my MTB from and it was a great experience. The shop it's self was put together great and the way they displayed their bikes & accessories was pretty cool. The staff @redrockbicycle are second to none and were super helpful and even dialed in my rental bike...

very nice, but how does it perform its functions?
It works well, not total coverage of course because it's not huge but it defiantly stops mud from getting all over me. Thanks for watching!

Did you ever do the bomber top cap swap? Does it fit the 36 well?
@@joshuarichardz6010 no but I really want to!!!
@@ESBMTB Im thinking about doing the swap. The gold would look so much better I think. I spoke with better bolts to see if they will make one but they wont have a cap for the grip 1 for a while it seems.
@@joshuarichardz6010 yeah I saw some cool colors on their website
I actually have this exact heat gun and love it. You must have gotten a dud. If I put mine that close to the stickers it would have melted it from getting so hot. Ive had mine for years now for my custom skin hobby. You also just happen to have the same fox 36 kit I plan to put on my bike. I use alot of 91% alcohol to clean my bike and rotors. Good job overall man.

🤘🏻🤘🏻🚵🚵♀️🚵♂️ Sweet video Lee!
@@WillySpenceeeeeeeee thank you!
@@ESBMTB 💪💪. Lee do you have any videos on your channel about the protective equipment you wear? I didn’t notice anything and I’m trying to do some research on general PPE for mtb and I’m curious what you use :)
@@WillySpenceeeeeeeeeI used to use Roach back in the day and Troy Lee for DH but I need to buy some new stuff. I am leaning toward Race Face or Fox elbow & knee.
@@ESBMTB if you do decide on some new gear please make a video on it! I’m debating starting something like what you’re doing, I’ve been doing action sports photography for years but not cycling as I’ve only just started back this year. Laying in recovery mode makes all sorts of ideas pop up lol
@@WillySpenceeeeeeeee for sure, and yup I know the feeling of recovery and ideas going around your head. I have 4 TH-cam channels and not enough time lol. I'd also love to start a podcast of sorts lol.
Ahhhh, great to see the family out together. I personally love those rides and it would be amazing if they all had the same level of passion. Hopefully, you'll be back at it sooner rather than later. 👊✌
Yeah it was a fun day! well I am a week and 3 days now since my surgery & I am feeling pretty dam good! If this season is like last season I think I may have a few more rides coming in 2024! Wish me luck lol.

Congrats dude! Your channel is awesome! i thought this was an amateur porn site....only reason for sub.
I had a great time visiting Palgrave earlier this year. Live the scenery and the nice balance between quick punchy climbs and rewarding downs. Definitely worthy of another trip. p.s what are your gopro settings? Your videos always look Crystal! 👌
@@Ryland_28 thanks for watching & your comments! My settings are a little different this season as I am using the GoPro 12. I am still tweeting them. It's really all in the editing and making sure you don't over edit it. Maybe this winter I'll do a video of how to set everything up if viewers want to see that.
who's riding horses there??? haha...nice pic of ur buddy...he looks jacked!
Yup my buddy Hoss gets bigger every year 😜
seems really grown in compared to last year!
Dude that was two yrs ago...
I commented on a previous video to subscribe trail forks, but I guess you have it already from what you said on this video. However what you do need then is a good handlebar phone mount or mount that screws onto the stem cap. Just alot easier to have the map right in front of you so that you dont have to stop and pull out your phone to know where you're going. Section 9 "last resort" is a hard trail lots of punchy tech up and downs. Good video tho bud. I just found out about palgrave this year and enjoy that trail system. But yes there is alot of horse pop.
@@gaddobronx6740 thanks for watching & your sub. I do have trailforks it's a wonderful app! A few of my buddies tell me to get a phone mount or GPS on the handlebars but I am just too shallow lol. It's all about what it looks like in the video. Thanks again!
Thanks man. Was wondering how to install. Thought I would check it out before I bought

Thx for putting this up. This is my first time with these grips, and I knew once I put them on the orientation just felt off. Had to refer to your video to confirm my thoughts.

Thanks for your kind words & watching. I came up with it after always cutting my hands before taking these types of pedals off lol. My son loves them already & still scratched his leg a bit from the little screws lol
@@ESBMTB I think we can all feel the pain from those wrench slips! Awesome and glad to hear about the pedals! Pedal pins are the worst of enemies and the best of friends all at once lol I’m heading out to Hydrocut tomorrow for the first time so hopefully I’m not about to eat my own words, and pedals haha
I like opening up TH-cam and seeing a new upload from you Lee! I’d be interested to know your opinion on the Chester pedal, I was comparing them to the deity deftrap and I ended up with the deity’s so I’m still curious. Also never thought of stepping on the wrench like that, it’s kind of brilliant actually lol
Glad you're enjoying my horrible videos & cardio lol. Thanks for watching and comments!
Man, I love how these videos show how taxing trail riding really is. I'm going through the slow journey of building my cardio, so It's nice to see footage that doesn't involve an absolute shredder. I'll be up at Guelph Lake and maaaaybe Arkell this week. Looking forward to it. thanks for sharing.

Nice grips but are a bit too thin for my hands. Currently have them on my Trek Marlin 8 but will be replacing them with the ODI Vanquish
@@17even they do feel a little thin. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Just got an orbea h20 in dark gray 2 weeks ago, also thought about doing either orange, purple or bronze accents (decided bronze) and found your channel while searching for kash money RF stuff, so far ordered the raceface grips like yours, also ordered RockShox fork decal in the same color, found the fox float dps decal. Was looking at the raceface stem but the orbea has some really nice spacers so I'm not sure, even thought it looks bad ass. I might get the RF pedals, but when they get scratched, they're aluminum silver, no? I also like the seat idea and might be ordering a kmc gold chain in the near future.
@@angelffalcon3134 thanks for watching & the comments! The pedals do get scratched up but it just to the badassness 😎

Hey dude! I’ve been following your channel for the most of this season, got myself a hardtail and have been riding none stop! I was planning to go to GORBA in Guelph on Sunday of the long weekend! Hopefully we’ll meet on a trail one day for a ride! Thanks for the cool content of what’s local to me :)
I feel like Snail Trail down and Hell's Kitchen up is a must at Guelph Lake. Both flow way better this way, and, Snail Trail is one-way only, with several signs telling you that you're about to get crashed into. Keep that in mind.
@@AndrewGeierMelons thanks for watching & the comment. I am always ready to get hit as I never go the right way 😬
@@ESBMTB- more and more of the GORBA trails are becoming one-way as we make more berms, etc. You were definitely going the wrong way on Snail Trail, as, as of 2024, Snail Trail is dangerous uphill. I really advise riding Snail Trails downhill as intended! I like the following loop: Middle Ground or Rollercoaster (Optionally - South Park uphill) Homestead Devil's Backbone Broken Sole Snail Trail (downhill!) Hell's Kitchen (uphill) Broken Sole (opposite direction of earlier) Dragon's Tongue (clockwise) Firefly (clockwise) Upper Jurassic or Lower Jurassic, up to you Broken Sole again Fight Club or Phoenix Mad Hatter or South Park You'll enjoy the trails way more this way. The trails just flow better/less chance of incoming traffic at 50 km/h. (I routinely hit 49.1 km/h on several trails at GORBA, whether it's Snail Trail, Fight Club or Firefly, those are HIGH SPEED trails that require cooperation from uphill and downhill riders and discussion in the group is, we might make them one way)
It beats me that there is a demand for a video on how to put the fender. Don’t get me wrong. I just wonder that there are people out there that need instructions for that. No wonder they put don’t eat the package in some foods. Peace

No instructions needed. Just a look up on how it looks like installed before buyin one. Looks awful imo. RS should make it better

Nice trail and great quality in the video. What camera do you use?
Thank you for watching & your comment. In this video I was using the GoPro 9, I am now using the GoPro 12 with max lens. I have to get back to those trails, they are awesome.
I think you need to add a spacer on the top of the stem and remove from the bottom. I found this online. Yes, you need a spacer above the stem clamp on a bicycle to allow the top cap to push down on the stem. The spacer should extend at least 3 millimeters above the clamp. If the stem or spacers are flush with or below the steer tube, it will be impossible to adjust the headset.
Thank you for the info & watching
