Chateau des Mortiers
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 19 ก.ค. 2024
Join us in the restoration project of our family home: the château des mortiers, a project that started in 1983 when my parents bought a ruin with holes in the roof, and has been ongoing ever since! Through highs (every step of the restoration) and lows (the fire of 1999, and a 35-meter deep hole suddenly opening up on our land) it's a real adventure...
Chateau des Mortiers - Post-Christmas Clean-Up
To recover from mild indigestion we dust and fix the chandelier, put the curtains back up, clean the front steps, move the pianos back and go on a day trip to the Norman town of Vimoutiers to collect ashes.

A very fitting place for Noddy. Placed where the other horse was placed and not far from his field. It is hard to lose a loved pet not matter what they are, they love us unconditionally and the sneak into our hearts and for ever remembered. To help grow your channel maybe reach out to other chatelains. For fixing the crack in the panel, Check with the lads at Escape to the Dream, they have had to fix a lot of their panels and to look at each room completed, you would not even know. Thank you for having a channel for us to follow your journey of starting over after the fire. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
Just checked their channel, it's beautiful!
Sweet ceremony for your beloved horse. Rest In Peace.
I think you have to use acid wash for the stone steps.
I absolutely❤ love your vlog. I just wish you more viewers for2025
Dennis here in Dallas Texas USA. I’ve only found your channel today but I’m looking forward to each and every video.
Awesome! Thank you!
Ohh my little friend😍!!
what do they taste like ?
They're so covered in garlic and butter that they taste mostly of just that! Otherwise I find they have an earthy sort of taste, in a yummy way. It's not easy to describe.
I love it!!!
So tempting!!!!!
The unfinished work? You must find out🤓
Ah oui je me rapelle!! J ai adorer ce cellar!!
What about Clotted cream ????
Clotted cream tastes completely different ;-) Not better, just different

What a stunning transformation.
très beau parquet " Versailles " !!! bravo
This was delightful! So candid, homey and bi cultural. Quite a demonstration of amiable co-existence that we can relate to easily here in Quebec. Love your comments the sound could be better but still a charm❤. Hope you get many more subscribers
Dankjewel voor de update over jullie kasteel en voor het renoveren en behouden ervan 👍🏻
Joyeux anniversaire à votre maman!🎂
Happy 80th birthday to your mom.
Hello , It’s a bit blurry at times and unsteady!😊
Yes, something we have to work on
I really enjoy your videos. May I suggest that it is a little hard to hear much of your videos? Sometimes it is not loud enough. It always sounds a bit muffled like you might be speaking through a pillow. Thanks for sharing your journey in a magnificent house and surroundings.
It depends who is filming and which camera or phone is used. We'll try to make the quality better!
Hello, I’m sorry about the death of your beloved horse. Sad. I like the mix of the renovation of your chateau and real life occurrences. I do feel like some background content is missing. Did you produce any video content dealing about your relationship to this chateau? How you fit in as it were, where is the chateau situated in France, etc., etc. You have a bit in the summary. I did not find any such content but maybe your approach is to share a bit about the background in each video. I’m not asking for any private specifics, just yo see how you fit into this chateau. Thanks
I'm going to address all that little by little, I am going to make one video specifically about how my parents found this chateau which is in Normandy, between Rouen and Caen. The channel is quite new ;-)
I think the same as you, missing history, and would love som more DIY vlogs
@@piarasmussen8693 you'll get it. First there'll be a video about our huge setback of 1999, next Friday
I love chateau ❤ saludos desde Argentina

So sorry for you loss❤
“The Moons” a you tube channel that home retired horses may know where to find those bags. So sorry for loss of your beloved pet. I couldn’t remember his name. Thanks for sharing .
Comments are not working. Try Cavalry Style Mesh Horse Feed Bags.
Yes Cats, but they should be “fixed” or you’ll get over run with farrow cats.
Get some cats they stop them . We have 4 cats they not always inside but we do not have a Mice or Rat problem .
Beautiful place ❤
So sorry for your loss.
