I worked for many white people, in the US army and in the fire department of the city of New York luckily I had the common sense to realize, people start businesses so they can make money, not so you can make money, it's funny as a capitalist country but they teach us to go work for other people instead of capitalize on what around us, so I started up a wholesale retail company and I was making $70,000 a year on my own, moral of the story is find something to capitalize on, and stop consuming everything around you

Honestly, there are some dreads that look decent enough for the coperate world, you don't have to cut your locs if you don't want to, just make it look nice and decent.

This outlook is a bit dated now, a lot more offices now care more about looking clean and put together. Some dread styles like free form and wicks might be a problem, but most styles are fine as long as they are well maintained.
