Reggaeton started with Black Jamaican Panamanians 🇵🇦🇯🇲 sampling reggae in Spanish. El General was the original 🇵🇦🇯🇲 Panamanian who sang in Spanish over reggae riddims including the Dem Bow Riddim(Shabba Ranks🇯🇲) which became the foundation of Reggaetón. Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 took it and ran with it but they are absolutely not the originators of the riddim or style.

I think Buju was referencing the new Reggaeton artists who act like they started the genre.

Yes, there is a serious connection between Jamaica and Panama. I learn this lesson the hard way. For a time, I dated a lady that turned out was a cousin of mine; a Trelawny Wallace. Dont fault me. At the time, I had no idea that I had kin folk in Panama, especially no one in my family had the surname Aguilar, her mother's madian name, which she went by instead of Wallace: traumatized. Great lady though...

Without PR reggaeton doesn't exist today. Panama's dancehall covers would be a relic of the past. The only thing Panama gave to the world was the canal. I enjoy my half world cruises. I really appreciate y'all! 😭😭😭

Hay muchas Marías , me gustaría saber quién es esta , hay una que me estafo hace muchos años , esta vivía en Don Bosco y se dedicaba a hacer que los hombres alquilaran carros de alta Gama a su nombre , luego ella se lo llevaba a la frontera con Costa Rica y desaparecían el vehículo , gracias a Dios sólo me robó unos $800.00 dólares Pero no caí con lo del carro.

Not sure what exactly happened, but the increase of potential expats interested in moving to Panama I can see alot more real estate scams happening
