@@MetalKaozTube 🥀🖤
What is your opinion on the record? I really loved it to the last track.
Thank you for watching and for commenting. I love the album and if I were to pick only one favorite that would be “Wierszalin IV”. The transition from the Orthodox hymn to Black Metal is amazing. That said, the album requires lots of spins in order to hear all the layers. The story is very interesting too. By the way, the vinyl edition has a bonus track, and that too is great.
@@MetalKaozTube for me it's between Wierzalin II & IV, II is the perfect blend of Black Metal and Religous music, but IV is the corner stone of this fresh new beginning
@@MsSebas1989 Indeed, those are great choices too. I think the more we listen the more we will discover. Just in case you are interested, I interviewed the band's singer Bartłomiej. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/KwhQFmHaGkw/w-d-xo.html

Great interview! Love Steve!
Yes, such a great guy to talk with. By the way, the GATES OF SLUMBER album is a killer.
Nice interview - Great Suomi Black Metal Band - Horns 🤘 Up .
Indeed a great Black Metal band. The old-school sound and songwriting approach are things to love. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to write a comment.
3:11 To be honest, mixing is the only thing wrong with the new songs - The sound is not as "tight" as on the last album and there are very unpleasant upper frequencies of the cymbals and vocals, which is just almost painful to listen to. I really hope that Martijn won't work with this mixing engineer on a future album - he messed up the new singles and the "Sleepwalkers Dream" remake.
First of all, thank you for watching and writing a comment. From what I understood, the band is trying a few things, and the EP gives some extra degrees of freedom. Maybe, this is also because the Synths Martijn has added in the new songs.
@@MetalKaozTube "Maybe, this is also because the Synths Martijn has added in the new songs" No, all the synths there are lower in frequency. What I'm talking about is really high: It's possible that Martijn and that mixing engineer are not even able to hear the issue - I've heard that people, especially professional musicians, lose their perception of the highest frequencies with age 🤷♂
@@SokolRock I’ll admit, I don’t always catch the finer details-especially after attending so many shows over the years. I’m sure I’ve lost a bit of frequency sensitivity along the way. That said, I think EPs are a fantastic opportunity for bands to experiment and try new things. Fans like you provide invaluable feedback that helps shape their creative direction!

The new NILE album is outstanding. A marvel of recording technology, the mixing and engineering is perfect. I am blown away, Karl and Nile have always been great, but this is next level.
Indeed, NILE raised the bar even higher. It will be great to listen those new songs live.
Great interview. What a guitar/songwriting legend. Just so happens to be a founder of my all time favorite DM metal \m/
Thank you for being so kind. Karl was a pleasure to talk with. You can easily see that he is enjoying writing music and playing live with NILE.
For all the flak he gets from ex-band members and netizens he comes off as a good dude. Very knowledgeable and passionate and articulate in his responses. Nice interview.
Yes, I agree, the discussion was interesting and he was very engaging. I try to stay away from reading what one band member says for another because there is no way to know the truth. Bands are really like families and often families fight and break. Thank you for checking the interview and actually taking the time to write.
I saw them in London a week ago and skinny was standing by the merch table helping out and he was super nice to me, he let me take some selfies and then shook my hand and thanked me for coming to the show.
You don't know good people then.....Skinny is nothing but a sly, greedy bastard always having tricks up his sleeve on who next he can fuck over.
❤❤nice interview 🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥
Thank you for checking the interview and for taking the time to comment. I have to tell you, the new record is a killer! Classics Flotsam with some new ideas.
Upon first listen of this album I understood it was a story. The music, the artwork and the voice actors. It all sets a mood and allows the imagination to paint freely. Despite the language barrier I enjoy the album and the artistic creativity. Also good job with the interview, very informative.
Hi @Raza_Odiada I really appreciate you commenting and for your nice words. I agree, the language is a barrier but at the same time feeds into the movie atmosphere.
Thank you for this interview! We don’t get enough from Kevin Starrs. I love this record. Definitely something to put on after dark to listen start to finish. I can see why a lot of fans aren’t happy but I think to take a risk like this and put out something so artistic in this day and age is pretty remarkable! Thanks again for this!
I should be the one thanking you for listening to the interview. Indeed Kevin is pushing the envelope, something that to me translate to inspiration. Now, this is definitely not the usual music we get from Uncle and his Deadbeats.
This is an awesome album!
I agree with you, and I disagree with those who were fast to disregard an album without Bill on the lineup. The difference is that this is Bill's music.
Listen to the band Ancient Days
Interesting Psych Doom Metal. I see that you've opened for Uncle Acid in Indiana. Very cool. Thank you for drawing my attention, really appreciate it.
@@MetalKaozTube we haven’t had the chance to play with them unfortunately! Maybe next year! Great interview too! Glad you dig it!
23:52 What a wonderful idea, like that each concert it's not really the same. One thing VOA could do as well is to let the audience choose between two songs during the concert, for example. Would you prefer we sing A or B? And then C or D? Has something like this ever been done before? Or is it not doable in live? I would like to know what hers must-see songs are. Surely "Melancholy Angel," but after ? "Pirates Will Return," "Clocks," "Heroes of the Dawn"? thanks for the interview.
First of all, thank you for checking the interview and commenting. Indeed, it is a great idea to change the setlist, although I do understand that it can be challenging for the band as it will require rehearsing a longer list of songs. Asking the audience to choose between two songs sounds great, especially if the audience expects to be asked to choose (kind of being ready to "vote"). Because, whenever a band asks "what song to play" you get so many requests that it's difficult to understand what the majority wants. As a fan, I do like getting asked, and in a way interact with the band. Side note: this is why I have realized that I prefer small club shows and not the arena ones, where everything is prepared and rehearsed.

@@MetalKaozTube I really just want a few Nell' Ora Blu shows to go down like Kevin explained and have them shot well. I'd travel to England or wherever to catch that show if I could snag a ticket. Wonder if they'll tour again before putting out another rock-record.
@@stevesundstrom My guess is that they will add shows depending on the album's response. For us being on the other side of the Atlantic, I don't think it will happen. But like you said, if they plan to film them, it will be a good alternative.
great interview, kevin starrs is a genious! (btw, bro your accent sounds like a greek person speaking english,no offense! )
Thank you for your comment and no offense taken, because you simply stated the obvious - I'm Greek, trying to speak English.
All their albums have been great, especially wasteland. BUT this new one is lazy , and overindulgent. There are some good parts, but you have to wade through 45 minutes of garbage for 25 minutes of good. If they don't release a real album soon, they are going to lose a lot of fans. REAL fans.
First of all, thank you for taking the time to comment. I will not call "Nell' Ora Blu" lazy but different. Especially because this is not the music the band usually creates. If it were such, then they should have just copied themselves, right? When someone likes a band, I find it hard to stop supporting them because of one record not being of their liking.
It’s more of a trip type album then the more straight forward regular doom metal type stuff, try listening in to it on mushrooms, acid , or ketamine… I’ve literally developed a ketamine habit with this album😂I reminded my of being 14 or 15 listening to Floyd tripping my balls off in my bedroom…glorious 🖤
@@adrianhabig4936 In my case, this music bring forth some nostalgia thinking about the movies I watched when I was younger. I think the "trip-y" part you are talking about comes from the experience of creating your own imaginary based on the music and sounds of this album. And that's it's biggest asset.
I agree. I would take another album similar to Blood Lust over this any day. Not to say this kind of experimentation is bad, it’s actually a good direction to go in. I’m not sure what the band intended the audience to take away from it, as it feels a little pretentious.
The Skull played a new song a few months ago in Chicago. "All Good Things" is a great song. Looking forward to hearing the album version
You are absolutely correct. They did play the song and it was a killer. Yes, we are waiting for the studio version too. Thank you for checking the interview and taking the time to comment.
fantastic debut album!
Absolutely! This came as a huge surprise.
Im n the minority but I love all their stuff. 70's horror cult films and music is my jam.
Thank you for checking out the interview. Do you like the album as a whole or do you have favorite tracks/moments?
This album is an absolute masterpiece. I have been listening to it non-stop since its release. The depth and sophistication is just stunning. It is more than an album. In the same way, and every bit as good as Pink Floyd's The Wall, it just pushes the boundaries, and I believe it will go down in history in the same fashion. In case you haven't heard of Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats, they are a modern day melding of early Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Black Sabbath. To anyone who loves classic rock, heavy metal and blues this band is the answer to your dreams. Thank you boys!!!
Thank you so much for watching the interview and for taking the time to comment. You are right, Uncle Acid have broken new ground with this record and really it has lots of potential. I am interested to see how the live shows will go and if the band will consider expanding the tour to present the visual aspect of this project to the fans. I think you can hear the excitement in Kevin's voice, and I am sure comments like yours will nudge him towards the right direction. I am extra happy for securing a vinyl copy of the record.
I’m not sure I agree. I commend them for expanding their scope of work, but I do not believe this album has the depth The Wall does. The Wall was able to explore so many themes (though nowhere near as clever as DSotM) while remaining a traditional rock album.
@@bcj575 I find it hard comparing albums especially of that importance. I think the depth of the aforementioned albums has to do with the listener's experience and perception. At the same time, this is exactly the reason why are masterpieces... My apologies for my rambling. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for watching and thank you for your nice words. Well, Brittney is great interviewee. Please do check the rest of the published interviews.
That was awesome, love hearing her talk about the story concepts & albums like this, doesn't even feel like spoilers since there's still so much left to discover in the lyrics & music of the songs when Phantoma comes out next week, & I'm really glad they're releasing a 4th single! You had excellent questions & a very good pace to the discussion, Brittney is incredibly charming & sharp, & one of my all time favorite singers & writers, & I always learn a lot from listening & reading to what she has to say. I agree with everything you've said. "Phantoma" has more depth than the "dealing A.I." concept. The lyrics are easily applicable to how humans grown up and how they meet society's often unfair face. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. This means a lot to us.

I don't understand how an iconic band like Saxon changes an original member of a lifetime, with a unique mark in their sound, style and so on!, and places a standard mid-level guitarist!, without detracting from their work, but it doesn't even reach anywhere near the level required by this legendary band! Just compare Saxon!! with Diamond Head!, it is not normal that an iconic guitarist, founder of a big band in quotes, "accepts playing in a bigger band!!, well it must be for a reason!!, surely he must still think that it is a dream!!, no one was going to make him a proposal of that magnitude!, good for him!, but what about the loyal fans who knew how to listen to the original Saxon and know well who the real Saxon is!! today is an attempt to resemble the legitimate!, and irreversible!, Saxon did not learn the lesson of Maiden, or Ozzy in the return of Sabbath, we are only listening to a band with Biff and Nigel and guests!, who lost their way, they forgot their essence of what made them great, simply Rock and Roll!! it's over!!, for example Motorhead, AC/DC never lost their identity!! Paul's absence is noticeable, with the terrible new album!!
The new album is fantastic 😂 get off the drugs mate
First of all, thank you for checking the interview and commenting. There is no way a band that has been around this long, like SAXON, to maintain the same lineup. With that been said, I understand that you may feel that the sound has changed. In that case, you can just skip this album or the band all together. I do not agree with what you said about DIAMOND HEAD; this band was part of the NWOBHM scene but were unlucky just like so many bands of that time period that did not make it big. Brian is a fantastic guitarist but he was not added to SAXON lineup to replace Paul, but to take over the live playing duties. It just happened to contribute to the new album and honestly, what he did sounds great.

I like them going back to power metal but I don't feel Tony's heart is really in it
Thanks for your comment! As long as the music is good (and it is), then it's hard to believe that Tony doesn't believe in it.
Great guy Great interview ❤️💯💯💯💯🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤘 Thank you! Sonata Arctica's return to their Power Metal roots came us a surprise to us, but "Clear Cold Beyond" is a real pleasure, you'll see...
Great interview, Great album Seen Saxon and Diamond Head many times Brian is such a nice guy. Just subscribed to your channel 💯💯💯🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for your support and comment! It means the world to us. More interviews are on the way 🤘🤘
Great album! Madame Guillotine is a wicked track. Brain's contribution has been fantastic!
Yes, the first time I listen to this song I knew "someone" had contributed to the songwriting! I hope they will add it on the setlist.
A swell, easy-going guy and a great guitarist. Saxon hit the jackpot getting him. It's a pity DH won't be seen playing live for a while, but as he says it gives them all the more time for songwriting and working on new stuff.
There is no question about it, SAXON found the best guitarist (from all aspects) to fill those big shoes. We cannot wait for the US tour! Thank you for watching and commenting. It means a lot to us.
Great guy and a fantastic guitarist. I wish him well!
First of all, thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes, we agree on Brian being a great guy and a fantastic guitarist.
Very nice interview. We love Exit Eden and Visions Of Atlantis. Amazing music 🎙️✨
Thank you for checking out the interview. It feels great that VoA are in the studio and have started writing new music. 🤘
Welcome home, Sonia 🏡. Enjoy your birthday week, thanks for your explanation in this vid. Looking forward to the 666 preorder 📬🤩
Appreciate you taking the time to check the video interview and comment. "666" sounds vintage with '80s guitars and synths but also has heavier songs🤘🤘
I can't wait to hear the new album! I really hope that you come to America and blow the roof off it please! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼💕
Oh, you're gonna love "666"! And yes, the girls of Cobra Spell MUST cross the Atlantic soon 🤘🤘
