A brief description of putting back together an OCI 240 VR oil regulator/carburettor
Did this come as a kit? If so, where did you get it? I have an older oil cook stove with a burnt out pot and the carburetor is no good anymore, so I basically need what you just got for your stove to fix it
Thanks for showing that. We are thinking of getting our more on converted to diesel. Would you recommend it?
Thats ours, still love it to this day , it's on now and we are toasty ❤
Perfect demonstration thanks
Thanks for uploading, gave me a great help with my Aga!
Seems like the Aga BM30.valve On mine, the actuator pin which works with a thermostat head turns the oil flow off completely, not just down to low fire Any ideas? Also, how do you adjust the low fire limit screw?
Thanks a lot mate your guide helped me to fix my petrol heater and keep my family warm happy holidays 🙏
Thanks, man. You just saved my tail. Cold snap just hit in Alaska and I couldn’t get my stove to start. Fuel would only flow if the regulator lid was off. Didn’t make any sense to me until I saw you lift the valve out. Turned out the slot on mine was half clogged. Cleaned it out and she’s running good as new!
I'm having the same issue. It only flows with the lid loose/off. Which slot was blocked for you?

Instructions with the TOBY say lifting the external lever stops oil flow through fiilter to turn burner off. Depress lever to restart. Seems opposite to what you say. Please can you confirm which is correct? Otherwise this is very clear and helpfu.
Hi Paul, thank you so much for the video, hope you don't mind me tapping your knowledge even further? . . . . . . . . So any idea where the Toby regulator reservoir should usually fill upto with oil? Our unit is a Toby DVR 4, 4 -13 CC, it has a thin brass coloured spindle attached to the rear of the float, is that "spindle" the indicator as to the correct reservoir oil level? I'm having trouble lighting the Rayburn, it appears it is not getting fuel from the Toby regulator unit (a new one) to the burner assembly, which incidentally I've stripped completely duly cleaned and decoked, it is driving me crazy. Any ideas? Cheers.
