On our way north we decided to take a detour to do Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah NP on our way home. Event in December, it's beautiful!

On Day 6 we left the island and did some cleaning/chores. After getting to the first place we though we were going to sleep, we realized that overnight parking was prohibited and ended up driving until midnight to find a place to stay. Van-lifers never mention how difficult it is to find a solid place to stay at night. This video is from December 12th (sorry it took so long to post).

Sara had one heck of a 24th birthday… from waking up to amazing high surf and adventures through the historic village on cape lookout, to taking cover in a bathhouse and being soaked though head to toe. Subscribe for more adventures!

On day 4 of our trip we got settled on Cape Lookout and did some adventuring, napping, and had a fire. We had a gorgeous first day on the island and were excited for the next day. Stay tuned to find out what happened the next day…
