Previously it has been forced to admit that several of the Dead Sea Scroll fragments displayed in its collection were modern forgeries. 'Some of the founders and actions of the museum are questionable, and the museum clearly has a very ideological agenda", said Prof. Aren Maeir, an archaeologist at Bar-Ilan University.

I see your point Joss. However, in the instance of Jesus reading from Isaiah 61:1, 2, it is possible that he left out the last phrase "and the day of our God's vengeance" because he wanted to focus on the year of His favor. Also, these are accounts written after the fact, so the writers didn't (couldn't) record everything that was said. "There are also, in fact, many other things that Jesus did, which if ever they were written in full detail, I suppose the world itself could not contain the scrolls written." (John 21:25) So they wrote according to the theme they were presenting at that time. Thank you for bringing this topic up now. It is timely because we're about to release a video touching on the theme of difference between the Masoretic Text and the Septuagint, not to undermine trust in God's word, but to motivate readers to do their research.

Thank you Joss for your presentation. This topic definitely applies to the omission of Jehovah’s name throughout the scriptures, especially in the Christian Greek. Many ex-JWs feel they can’t even use Jehovah’s name because supposedly Jesus never did, but rather refer to him as “our Heavenly Father” or “God” saying ‘we’ll, we don’t call our parents by their names’ as if that’s the same thing. It’s not. Jehovah is not only our Heavenly Father, but our also our God, who deserves distinction from other gods, who deserves honour and recognition like no other. Throughout all of the Hebrew scriptures we see the prophets calling on Jehovah using His name and then suddenly when Jesus arrives His name is made obsolete. Critical thinking is lacking greatly, sadly.

In my opinion, religion is for children and the weak. loving God and 'our' fellow mankind is a demonstration of 'our' spiritual maturity, strength and acknowledgement of 'our' natural compassion and empathy to Almighty God's fellow creation, "made in his image". Again, in my opinion.

Thank you Mike for saying the same i have said: csa dishonors Jehovah the moment it happens, not when it is reported. Omg i just heard of what your poor wife went through. I totally understsnd the mindset, she wants so badly to please God. I actually had csa done but as a child not in the religion. I am not a born in. I had several studies befor i came in in 1979, basically i was hopefull that all that was going on was the resque i and my children needed after living in abuse. I did not wake up till shortly after the pandemic. It was a broadcast that started it. Then i found the ARC. Now im thankful my two children never were babtized (always glad of that,because no problem with association with them) i do wish they had a belief in God, but they are good children, and good citizens. I hope God takes that into consideration. Thank you for all you do. I still have very bad days, trying hard. Grateful for your videos.
