*Next thing to get is the Sony 11mm f1.4 as this is an AWESOME Vlogging Lens, Never use internal, external When using the VideoMicro II with a camera, we strongly recommend switching off any automatic gain settings or audio processing that may be enabled by default as this is not required when using a high-quality microphone like the VideoMicro II. Instead, use your camera’s gain control to adjust your levels as required. The VideoMicro II is a sensitive microphone, so you may need to set your camera gain level quite low. Keep an eye on the level meter on your camera. If it is turning red while recording, turn your audio level down. Also Learn Manual & there's ton of Videos that show ya the best settings for learning it. I have the ZV-E10 paired with a Sony 11mm F1.4. Also try n Go Wireless as it's easier to move around and makes it lighter. The Hollyland Wireless Mic is a bargin and has good audio as I use it on my FX30. Congrats on the Camera. This was a super interesting watch, you have great energy - and you are also super engaging! If you are recording 'talking head' videos you might want to use acoustic padding in your room to soften the reflections as it can sound a little 'roomy'. Also, if you want a balanced shot, try tapping up twice on the 'DISP' button - it will give you a spirit level. As someone specialising in audio, I advise you to only use the wind muff for outside. Well done on selecting a RODE Mic btw, they sound amazing, I'm currently using the VideoMic NTG and it is perfect with the ZV-E10. Please keep uploading, your content is amazing!

Congratulations on your New Setup, I am nowhere near pro but here are some tips to consider: Since you are mainly shooting video you should learn about focal lengths and predominantly for video the range is 16-35mm so try get a lens within that range or one that covers that range. So in terms of lenses there are kind of 2 types: Prime lenses Zoom lenses Primes are usually better in terms of Aperture they give you very low values like: F2.8, F2.0, F1.8, F1.4, F1.2, F1.0, F0.9 etc. Zooms are usually more versatile i mean you get 16-35mm(Wide Lenses good for video), 35-70mm(Good mid range, photography) 70-105mm(Telephoto range kind of) So the normal zoom lenses focal lengths are: 16-35, 24-70 and 24-105. So there are also different Zooms, There are Zoom lenses with Variable Aperture and Fixed Aperture, yours has variable aperture, and the issue being when you zoom in the video gets darker because the Aperture increases. So fixed Aperture lenses are preferred. So primes are better in terms of aperture because you can really have a low aperture which helps in low light situations and gives you better subject separation with the background AKA Shallow depth of field AKA blurry creamy background, not that Zoom lenses can't many do actually but it will cost more to get a Zoom with low Aperture. Note: Its better to have a cheap camera with an expensive lens than an expensive camera with a cheap lens. Try to really learn about Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO, these settings are the main settings to a camera that affect the image. Aperture is on the lens, meaning like how wide open the lens can open, so the lower the number the better so if it has a number F2.8 and below then its really good, think of aperture as a measure of how wide the lens can open up similar to your eye pupil when its in the dark it gets really big and in bright light it gets really small. So your current lens has an Aperture of F3.5 to F5.6. Well its decent for shooting video but you will find in dark lighting your image become too dark and you are forced to increase you ISO. Also the lower the Aperture the more blurry and "cinematic" the video will look which most TH-camrs try to achieve. ISO this is like volume but for the sensor on your camera, the higher the value the brighter the video or image. It increases the sensitivity of your sensor. So ideally you want it to be 100 always which is the starting point for most cameras going all the way to like 240 000 or something, but you can increase it if you find that the scene is too dark and you have to. So the problem with this is if you increase it too much then you introduce noise to your video or image, where there are these small flickering ting dots appearing all over your image. Shutter speed This is long the shutter opens. So if your shutter speed is 1 then it will take a picture for 1 second meaning the sensor is exposed to light for 1 second. So since you are shooting video and not pictures then you should follow this rule. Your Shutter speed should be double the frame rate. So if you are shooting in 60 frames per second the your shutter should be 1/120 if you are shooting at 30fps then it should be 1/60, if its 24fps then its 1/48 or 1/50 if there is no 48. I hope this helps. Also for microphones check out the Takstar SGC 598 or 600 i heard it beats $300 microphones and if not beat it comes real close.
