The only evil that exists is religion
Depends what god you bring out if you bring the biblical god out things will stay the same after 2000 years nothing has changed or you can bring out the truth and express the god inside you as a tree expressed the color of life thru its leaves
To put it simple, God doesn’t fit SOME of the human’s definition of “good” and most humans don’t fit God‘s definition of “good”.
This particular God is seen as good because of the text saying he’s good, but not because of actual observable behavior. From the perspective of a Canaanite baby, God doesn’t seem all good regardless of what some ancient texts says
That's a great question to be wrestling with & I would love to hear how Christian thinkers would respond to it.
No idea why this was in my recommended but that Matthew guy was one of the campus ministry leaders in a group I was briefly in
What the hell is she even trying to say here?

Please cite the scripture. My understanding is that repentance is needed for forgiveness of your own sins. The actions of others need to be forgiven by us regardless of repentance from the other party. Christ died for us, before we even believed. Romans 5:8 says, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Read Matthew 18 15:35. Jesus's instructions on how to help a brother or sister that sinned and how God will treat us if we do not forgive others. ”Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.“ Matthew 18:21-22 ”“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”“ Matthew 18:32-35
