I come from England. Being a football fan as a kid. Soccer. There was untold violence in the 70's and 80's where remenber. No cameras, cctv etc etc. Where come Saturday? It was a time of very little else. To distract mind's from doing anything else. But kick off against the opposing fans in the stadiums or on the streets outside. Soccer violence was a staple of British life. Crazy times where I've seen thing's which you just wouldn't see today. Because there was more chance of getting away with it then. And Very organised come these times. Theres plenty of footage by tv crews from back in the day. Pretty bad up until the Hysel Stadium disaster. And abit after that. Don't get me wrong. You still get it. Like when England fighting the Russians during French tournament in recently years. The Russian hooligans training for the event for 4years leading up to the event wanting to confront the famous English soccer hooligan. World and European finals every 4years. So 2 years between each tournament. Crazy moments. Especially a moment in Marseille with England and the Russians. Revenge for attacking innocent English fans (families with kids) who happened to be watching a game. But when you mature as man. You come to realise how pathetic it is. Football fan violence. Saw so many gutless shite. Where on so many occasions? It was innocent people getting hurt. And most of the violence was hit and run.
