Welcome to silverblissrv! We are Mike and Kim Holt. We hope that you will join us as we travel and live in our 2020 Airstream with our dogs, Hank and Lucy. We visit National Parks and Monuments, State Parks, Private Campgrounds and any camping spot that will allow us to get to our destination.
Our intention with this site is to log our travels and experiences in video to share with our family and friends with the hopes of them joining us at different points along the way.

Hawk Falls Trail, Hickory Run State Park
Hickory Run State Park. Carbon County, Pennsylvania. Hickory Run has 40 miles of hiking trails. Some are easy walks, but others are challenging hikes. Shades of Death Trail and the Hawk Falls Trail have beautiful views and diverse landscapes.
We hiked Hawk Falls Trail with Hank and Lucy. The hike was noisy from the construction on the bridge near the falls, but it was beautiful!

Washington DC as an RVer? We say YES! Even if you are not Rving, we say YES! We stayed at Lake Fairfield Park Campground. We took the Metro from Wiehle-Reston-East to Federal Center SW to go to the Bible Museum in this video. Cape Henlopen was first explored by Henry Hudson in 1609 and later by the Dutch. During World War II, it was part of the Harbor Defense Project of 1941. Lots of military weapons still on site. We loved the trails, beach, campground, lighthouses, and Gordon’s Pond! We didn’t get to go to Cape May. Virginia Beach Boardwalk! We saw King Neptune. It is a 24’ 12 ton bronze statue. It was impressive, but I really liked the boardwalk itself. It was 28’ wide. It also had a separate bike path. There were lots of walkers, runners, people on skateboards and rollerbladers. You didn’t have to be on the lookout for bikes. There was plenty of room to walk. Colonial Williamsburg takes us back to when it was the capital of the Colony of Virginia. The area has restored and recreated buildings from the 18th century, amazing and knowledgeable staff in period clothing. America's First Lighthouse, Cape Henry! We got to go into the original 1792 lighthouse. It was really interesting and beautifully restored. We could see the 2nd lighthouse from the landing at the original lighthouse. We have a cooler, but it stays in the truck. We mostly use it if we have our children visiting. We keep drinks in it when they visit. Refrigerator is too small for a lot of drinks and the freezer doesn’t hold a lot of ice. We really miss ice!

awesome hike. We did this trail in 2017. possible the best hike we ever had. Boat ride was unique and helped with millage. Wish I could go back again soon.

It is a 27’ model. For Airstream that translates to 28’ hitch to bumper.

@@mcoop571 No bother at all. Ask anything. Hate it took so long to reply. We had 2 kids and 2 grandchildren this week and zero Starlink and zero cell. Today we are headed to South Fork, Colorado.
Which towels do you use?
We use the Nomadix. They are antimicrobial, dry fast, and fold up small. They don’t give you the ooh ahh feeling when drying off, but I prefer having more space. We tried the Turkish Towels from Amazon that others have recommended. They didn’t hold up well. They became super wet when drying off and then take forever to dry. It is all personal preference. We have tried almost everything during out 3 years of travel. This works for us.

Highline was a great trail. So much variety. One minute your in wildflowers, the next your in an evergreen forest. And then there's snow!
