All the others had me so confused, wishing it was simple like FCPX. is there a way to add the transitions to the program so that they show up in the effects library?

I work in music and I'm constantly trying to get my lyrics into resolve subtitles. One trick I've learned is I take the time to record a disposable audio file of myself speaking the lyrics as they happen in time with the song. I sync that up (or record it as ADR right into the timeline) and use the transcription function to create them. It's a 'hack' that I'm sharing in good will. Thanks for this very helpful video.

Thanks for the explanation. If I might suggest something - it would be a lot better with the music a loss lower or even just not there at all.

I think it works better if you leave the highlights anchored alt the white point and create another point a bit above the mid-tones to imitate the climb. Towards the tail und of the shadows anchor a point and lift the black point towards the appropriate level of "Print Black" aka "milky blacks" compared with a normal diffusion filter you just want to drop the exposure slightly overall, as this will increase the normal exposure of the image, including skin tones. I've done some comparisons to when I owned a BPM 1/8 filter and creating this look in Resolve.

Yet another “wonderful example” of how good the Magic Mask is. A girl who hardly moves and then a stationary mug! In real life it’s a total waste of time and one has to resort to doing it manually. Let’s hope this catchy gimmick serves its purpose one day.
