Ha.. Mom videos. Funny. Yeah, two cameras and an XY configuration of microphones set up at on of the speakers. Not the best, but works. The pandemic took a huge hit on school bands and I hope it recovers soon. I always try to promote a school music program since they are ALWAYS neglected...

I know it's a bit spendy. But I've had it 4 years now and still looks and protects the horn amazingly. A bit of the velvet inside is starting to wear near the bell from all the in and out, but not too bad. I believe it's replaceable when that time comes. . If you travel or gig a lot, it's definitely worth the piece of mind for protection. I picked mine up at prowinds. They have sales often of 10 and sometimes 15% off. So if you catch it right, you can save around $90!!

@@joecaruso9990 Thank you very much for the reply and the follow up. Velvet wearing out is not a big downer , we should probably expect this on any product using it regardless of a price. Btw, I also spotted BAM's cabin cases, so I was really torn ,... talking about impulse purchases... watched your video again and decided to go with what I am already familiar with (based on your vid and reply), so I got meself 4101XLC (it's a carbon version w/o a pocket), prowinds has a promo 10% off on a sign up for their email subscription, so I decided to make use of it :).

Yes, been checked as luggage many times. Been 3.5 years now and has been all over, dropped, bumped, and still looks amazing. No damage to the instrument what so ever!!

Thanks! Saw your video, very nice! My advice is if you're really into it, practice at least an hour a day, push the envelope and if you do not have an instructor get one. Join eveey geoup possible, jazz, small combo along with band practice saxophone solos both with classical and improv jazz. Also, if you do not have a good hard rubber mouth piece, upgrade to one, as it has a much better tone. Great job!

@@CarsandCollectors Great! Yes, Yamaha make very good mouthpieces. See about trying to get a step up mouthpiece like a selmer S80 C*. You can find them on Ebay pretty cheap. For jazz maybe a Vandoren AL3. Jazz mouthpieces are much louder. For me the transition to jazz mouthpieces was difficult because they take more air. I hated it at first and kept putting it down. It does take time. I use a Selmer Concept, or Theo Wanne water for classical. For Jazz i use Theo Wanne Durga 3, Gaia 2 or NY Bros depending on what im playing, or my mood ... I guess what im really trying to say is mouthpieces make a huge difference and you will just have to try some. But a good hard rubber mouthpiece really changes the tone. My instructor years ago suggested that to my dad as the most obvious step up..... Keep playing!!!!

I picked it up at NAMM for $225. It was probably discounted for the show. We used the concept before the water which is ~$200+. And the C* and C** before that. The concept has a much nicer sound than the S80/S90 (in my opinion) the water projects more then the concept. It does run sharp though and does take time to conform to. Not a beginner mouthpiece for sure. Once dialed in, it sounds great!!
