ur 100m time is not a split, it is a flying 100m. your 100m time starts from 20m and finishes at 120m but your acting as if you actually ran that time from a stationary start.
@M-yl2op yes I knew they were splits of the flys, but regardless, they were some the fastest times I have split on flys😂

I know... Ideally, studies say 30 to 35 m, but I want to know the effect it will have on my speed 🤷🏿♂️

@brandonb7362 Yes, the effect it has on max velocity. Studies do say 30 to 35 meters, but if I were to go "overboard," how would it positively affect my speed. Tryna do stuff out of the norm 🤷🏿♂️

shit bro just a little advice if you are taking track serious i highly recommend findin a team and coach to train with ASAP. as a solo person myself i found that this was a mistake training by myself and when i did find a team it was just too late for my timing because track literally is a discipline that takes 2-3 years of high end training to peak into those olympic standards. i ran track literally since i was 5 years old so i had a lot of muscle memory and still found myself behind in the track game. had international records as a youth, had a few local meet records in high school with 10.7's early in the season but i ended up focusing on football for my college career n not really focusing on training towards the end of my high school years because track just made me lose too much muscle i needed for football. even with muscle memory coming back to track at 22 i was still in a deficiet compared to other olympic sprinters. i came back to track at the end of my college career to see if i could use track to propel me back to the nfl but i didnt find a team until i was 23 to train with and then realized it takes multiple years of training at a high level in order to break thru those olympic standards. n i was running a solid 10.7 off muscle memory. my biggest lesson was using team to compete with in training and trusting a coach to guide me early on in the game since all athletics has a youth timer on it.
I am on a team I just can't train with them very often because of the time.

What you recommend for starting back up? Start with 40s and 60s move to 100s and 200s?
if anything I personally start with strength work with a sprinkle of speed so 200s, 300s, 250. I am predominantly a 200 and 400m runner .

Bro I remember doing 2x250 all out 12 minute rest ended me for a good 30 minute intermission also. Felt like I had flu like symptoms without the flu type vibe.
It’s crazy how literally those milliseconds .5-.7 of pushing pass that barrier when ur running in that 90%-100% zone really makes the biggest difference in training. Like that’s extra effort outweighs the volume of the workout

Good work bro! I love the consistency man. I remember running a 7.39 and thought it was bad til now going to a 6.90. The 60 doesn’t determine how fast you are, it just determines how fast you can reach your top speed first.

exactly for being injured for 6 months it’s not slow at all, i can see him recovering and getting to a sub 7 potentially next indoor season

Strained my right hamstring yesterday on my second 60m aswell 🤣 but I found out you have form similar to mine after you fully extend your foot swings forward instead of straight back causing unnecessary hamstring stress so I’m fixing that rn and just letting yk too
I agree. Also, weak glutes play a huge role, at least in my case.
