We visited the Saturday market in Delft and climbed up to the New Church to enjoy the beautiful 360-degree unobstructed view. Stayed at Social Hub Delft, a unique and modern accommodation, and rent bikes to get around town. Because it's directly next to the station, it is also convenient to arrange trips to The Hague, Rotterdam, and even Amsterdam~!
Delft is small in size, sandwiched between the two major cities of Rotterdam and The Hague, but it condenses rich Dutch history and cultural characteristics. It's the hometown of the painter Johannes Vermeer; an important place in the history of the Dutch royals; it has the beautiful craftsmanship of the Dutch Golden Age from Chinese porcelain to Delfts blauw; it also has modern public transportation, bike lanes throughout the city, and the famous TU Delft…. However, what impressed me most here was the feeling of being both lively and super chill at the same time!
