The Swamp Princess is the one up next. A superstar in the making 🎉
On Boom Bap Doechii also interpolates Kendrick’s untitled 02😮
So we throwing shade at Ice Spice… you not a munch 😂😂
🐊🔥🐊🔥
Agreed
Megan album is way better than Latto
Wierd
And what is this video supposed to be about?
Add the playback value back to your Final Thoughts please… I think it helps the audience to understand how “important” the album is to you, so to speak.
Yall gotta do a review of Common and Pete rock’s album!! Thanks for your service…. Just followed on Instagram
I loved this album, I liked a lot of the tracks and loved that she did Japanese themed ones too because you can tell she’s passionate about it, Hiss is still my favourite and I think perfect opener as it sets the tone, the snake concept worked well too… I like that she fights back against these bigger rappers that continue to go after her and call her a liar etc. lover her
I will say that, going and listening to Amy winehouse after this album made me appreciate what Lupe did a lot more. Cuz I wasn’t too familiar with a lot of her work but after hearing 2 of her albums I can see where Lupe was going with this and I appreciate him for opening my mind to artist I wouldn’t usually listen to
First track introduces Amy singing in front of an Opera house starting out as a struggling jazz singer in verse one, verse two she goes to a friends flat “house”, goes to sleep. 2nd song Mumble rap, she wakes up goes to the park..sees an old man that grants her the ability to rap in the 1st verse… (The whole third verse is from Amy perspective rapping), the mumble rap song is basically the story of how Amy gets the ability to rap and from that point on the rest of the album is from the perspective of Amy Winehouse being a battle rapper..listen closely to the 1st two songs (Samurai and Mumble rap..those two songs set up the narrative). After that, the rest of the album is from point of view from Amy rapping.
You're breakdown earns my sub
Check out the Amy Winehouse Documentary then listen again
Favorite song CAKE I've had the album on repeat the last 48 hrs. .. LuPe is Loop-eng
If you haven’t checked out professor Skye’s review you should he does a great breakdown of the concept and the album absolutely hits the mark. But I agree you can listen without knowing the concept.
Y’all be capping 🧢 But why is her album barely selling, but got the never to compare her to Nicki 😂 Pink Friday 2 was way better than this 🗑️
Everybody legit forgot about Pink Friday 2 so quickly
@@kpopisawesome9343 lmao Nicki is on a world tour called The Pink Friday tour lol. Grossing over 81 million so far, debuted #1 on the billboard 200 chart… The fans clearly didn’t forget lol
@@kpopisawesome9343 seems like Meg fans forgot about her album that just dropped… 65k but she’s supposed to be hotter and bigger than Nicki lmao. Selling less than “beam me up Scotty” a rereleased mixtape lol Y’all need to call roc nation for the extra sells
@kpopisawesome9343 how everyone forget about an album that's still charting almost months later??? 😂
Don’t ever compare Meg to Nicki lmao Meg album was trash, the same flow, the same cadences, the same subject matter… Y’all be so cap 🧢 lol
Lmaoo you sought out this random review ABOUT MEG😂 to leave a comment about Nicki…Get well Soon❤️🩹 🤝🏾
U click on a megan reaction video smh bitter just like that old flop minaj
@@kaygotmemes lmao 🤣
@@kpopisawesome9343 lmao old flop but she’s doing better than the drunken horse?? How does that work? Go stream and buy that album that’s barely selling…
@@waytoomuch4067 where is Pork Friday 2? Everyone forgot about that album even some of the barbs said the album was weak but they're gonna force themselves to "like" it🤣🤣🤣
Its definitely female album of the year
Move around then. Glad you recognize from jump some things aren't made for y'all because Meg is for the grown and sexy.
Lol...Dos she know that?
@@ShawnBloom Well if you listen to her music...I'd say she makes it very clear that she knows she's grown and sexy.
the amy winehouse concept was def sprinkled throughout, but with the general concept being about an artists comeup, dealing with fame, rejection, vulnerabilies, etc. it can be appreciated without really knowing about amy winehouse's specific story or the direct inspiration behind the album dope review btw
This was a fun listen... still never want to be able to fully relate to .Paak tho lol
i’m sure those who can relate, also never wanted to be able to fully relate to that 😭
Don Toliver's new identity will take the summer by storm
Great review - passing this along to the bossman ;)
all the songs i like
KeepHer is 🔥🔥🔥
Yup
After Party is one of my favorite Don Toliver songs 🔥
Thank you for reacting this album. Nothing but respect for you all. Next to no reactors are doing this.
Top 3 Tracks: 1. 'Nothing Matters', 2. 'Freeman', 3. 'Justin' (But I really love the whole album🔥)
Great point on the electronic part
She has real talent and that’s why she’s overlooked so much and that’s what is so sad, cause she deserve more recognition, and she is a better rapper, even after I discovered first her last year after hearing so much about her, I knew from the moment I first listen to her songs that she was going to be my favorite emcee,
Thanks for your insight and breakdown! I went to check out Asteroids cz of Hit Boy stayed for the album, now I'm onto Eve. She's a great MC, she has my Cole spot outta the Big 3.
Big ups to Niko Brim! 914!!!!
Bros onto nothing 😂
Man, its not about being grown up. HipHop is a sports, for the sport he failed. Notice that in alot of areas in society is getting soft😮
A mans apology to another man....."doesnt really affect me personally" I would hope not?!?! What kinda 13 yr female discussion is this?
Hip hop is not immature that's a stupid statement. J Cole is a coward for apologizing for the fact of claiming to be the best being Muhammad Ali as he put it and then wants to run and hide when someone challenges him on that. But these effeminate males can't understand the reality of competition and that's exactly what J Cole ran from so if you applaud him you're a coward too
Seth Rogen's cousin don't know what the hell he talking about....cultural impact??? You ain't part of our culture smh how would you know
Goes crazy
Lol J. Cole can say what ever vatoo esse !!!!!
Bruh...😅 who are you ...your opinion holds no wieght😅😅😅😅😅😅
But you can’t lie the dis was cap
Nah 4yeo if fire fk off w all that
I think there was one or two songs I personally didn’t care for on the album but other than that it was def better than some of the previous ones
What do I know? Lyrically all of these rappers come off as mid compared to lupe aesop or j-live
Gross statement
Kod was fire you tweaked
KOD just talked about how much he hates mumble rap.. that’s what you bumpin??? 😂
@@DC.DYNASTY obviously the topics of generational wealth inequality injustice flew right over your head. I understand it takes a higher level of knowledge to comprehend what he is talking about sometimes, but I suggest you go back and listen.
@@jjack93 i guess it did because im already on it, and i wasnt listening for that. Youre right flew completely over my head. Like yeah ill admit it was very positive. the artistry in production was just shallow. Didnt he produce it himself
Second album was ok at best and last album was trash. But music is opinion base
