this emergency horn went off because a train about to leave platform 5 was heading towards the crossing attendant and the signallers saw him on the cameras and sounded the horn to warn him of the train.

I thought a new bell had been fitted here until I saw that the wire has been painted silver which means it may have been painted. There was however a scratch on the front f the bell before which appears to have gone. so it's a 50/50 chance that it has been painted

That alarm needs fixing
@mattstrainsandthings5577 It's a rare alarm so I don't want it to be replaced. It still makes a warning sound and it's loud. Any normal person wouldn't even care about it

@@Southeast-planes-trains because this crossing is so busy, people are allowed to walk across the crossing when the barriers are down by using a footpath and a crossing attendant. I used this as a chance to film behind a barrier
