Good explanation. A lot of people misconstrued the box spread, from calling it "arbitrage" to "risk-free" etc. All it is, is a zero-coupon bond (long box spread). Just a minor correction on the video, the return on your example trade is 2.77%. I know it's pedantic. Ha. 2.7/97.30 = 2.7749%

I Traded in the CBOT T Bond pit for 14 years. I stood at the south end ( Away from the Lasalle Windows). Behind me was the 10 yr Pit. Most of the locals there were Nobbers. They would get the edge on a batch of 10 yrs and run over and lay it off in the Bonds, either by themselves, or a hand signal to a Pit Broker, which was allowed if you had a membership. It was a very busy and liquid trade. We were doing over a million a day in the T bonds back then. Most of guys were just trying to lock in a tick or two...some may have been adding to a delta neutral type of position. As long as you got a good edge in the notes, you could buy of offer or sell the bid in the Bonds and still be OK.

I saw this platform recently in one of the Mastermind sessions of Trading Dominion (Ron Bettino). I have traded 0DTE with good results since 2022. Can you set up something like a D5 to D7, 50 wide put/call credit spread. I usually have picked direction based on a 30 minute ORB, but I can see doing an iron condor with this. I recently switched to IBKR from Tasty for lower PM requirements and interest paid on unused cash, so this I think would be right up my alley. You can tell you trade 0DTE because of what you have included in the bot.

I am fascinated with this strategy and trying so many different things using its principles. I have hit a brick wall with something I am trying to do. I understand you can create this with no theta decay. So to me if I create a bullish trade, as long as markets stay where they are or go up...I should not lose any money. Also if I create a Bearish trade, as long as the markets stay where they are or go down...I should not lose any money. So that said....if I create a Bullish as well as Bearish trades.....I have limited loss on both sides with 0 theta decay but unlimited potential on the opposite side. So in theory I see this as if the markets makes a small move....I should not lose any money since both sides will cancel each other. If the market makes a big move....I should have a limited loss on 1 side but good profit on the other side. But when I do back test....I noticed that unless markets makes a huge move....I am losing on both sides! Why is this the case? What is the loss coming from? I am available to discuss this on a call if you are available?

I wonder how would perform if you did it on this on at least 1 year DTE. The underlying most likely would move up or down in 1 year to have a almost guaranteed profits. Also if done on several stocks at the same time would also provide diversification just incase 1/some do not move. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
