Hey, nice comment! I'm curious: what's your time in Lusail? I'm currently running a low/medium 1:55, but I'm still having difficulty in some specific corners, like Portimao 1 and 5, Austin S and the Spielberg chicane. I especially struggle to find the right line and maintain control in those sections. Do you have any advice on how to deal with them? Or how to improve your pace on Lusail? It would be interesting to discuss

@CriMGP25 my current best time for lusail is 1:50:827, but there is still room for improvement bc I still struggle with the quick left to right from turn 8 to 9. It’s a very odd breaking pattern to get down and is very easy to make a mistake there. I’ve found that at lusail, late apexes are your best friends. Most corners are fast and flowing but the exit slows you to run wide. So late apexes and using the the kerbs to the fullest on exit will help you drop that time. Just be careful not to use too much of the kerb during the corner phase because it will stand the bike up and cause you to run wide or crash. As far as corner 1 at portimao (and the rest of the track) engine braking is my best friend there, but remember it mostly depends on riding style. I brake very hard and late, so I have to trail brake a lot quicker, so more engine brake allows me be tighter to the apexes while not having to rely on the front brake too much. The Spielberg chicane it took me a while to get the hang of (it’s still one of my least favorite tracks) but for that chicane I usually enter very wide, almost on the kerb on the left side before actually turning in, then when I reach the apex at turn 2 I’m already turning in to turn 3, then when I reach that apex I run a little wide on the exit using the kerb to its entirety. For chicanes in general, it’s a good idea to look at the second apex and think of how you want to take it. The second apex is always determined by how you take the first one, so if you plan ahead on how you want to take the second one, the first one will basically come as instinct Edit: a 1:55 is still very good for lusail as it is a fast and flowy track, it’s still very technical in terms of what you need the bike to do. I like the KTMs on this track. The edge grip is nonexistent but it’s so agile on corner entry that I can brake very late and take late apexes so my exit is very simple to manage
