Is this a joke, why aren't you showing how to get everything off in order to get to the shoe on the 2040, this is totally useless.
Looks great, what do you use for the backing of the portals?
Chalk and cheese!
Hawley, Thank you for this is a great tutorial! What materials do you use for your town roads?
Hi. Two layers of 6x12x1 concrete papers glued together. Then covered with concrete patch with fine play sand added. I add black concrete color to make it black. Then spread a thin layer over the top. Thanks for watching!
Looks good.
Question, do you know if these traction tire replacements will work on Aristocraft engines?
Absolutley useless piece of kit. If the motor gets power, then the rails don't need cleaning and wheelskates on normal locos will do the job as good. I have never cleaned my outdoor track in 25 years and it still doesn't need cleaning.
Worked for me. Sent the grinding wheels around ahead of the loco and then my electric units ran.
FYI, my Aster/LGB Mikado #73 has TWO traction tyres.
All my trains are LGB.
It's.....MARKLIN
Very informative video ! You answered so many of my rookie questions ! Thanks
Wow that looks dirty with my OCD I would have to clean everything lol
😂 it’s like changing brake pads on a truck
This is amazing now I know what kind of grease is the best one for the nylon gears and I just bought a G scale 4065 Rio grande caboose lot of pieces are missing from the roof part like the two lanterns the top vent and the long stem stack and the black plastic wood details where the ladders are so I made my own wooden walkways for the roof out of corn dog sticks and painted it black and it looks like the original ones I’m so glad I went to carpentry class lol I just need the lanterns and I want to make it light up instead of dummy ones and the vent and stack
And the locomotive I bought a ways back that screw and washer that holds the red wheel on at the 2:34 and 2:49 mark it was missing and trying to find another one is impossible to find the original one because I want my locomotive with everything on it not having missing pieces
Really went all out with these! I'm almost jealous!
How many traction tyres are to go on the LGB stains???
Hi. Did you ever find out an answer to this question? It looks like only 1 traction tire is needed per engine
Do you guys sell the foam holder?
www.trainli.com/tools-accessories-for-repair-269/pl-52011-engine-support-foam-large-p-7121
I think the original sounds came out in the 80s. It sort of sounds like an Atari!
yes, the locomotive is an early version, likely the early 80's analog only
I hope to get this skilled eventually. Great job 👍
I'm guessing you can't Mount these over top of the rail joiners
that is correct
I`m mainly interested in how to make track power pickups .
Which remote control your using to control each sound separately ?
this locomotive was installed with a Zimo DCC decoder, most of the videos I'm controlling the locomotives with a Zimo DCC system.
There is a lot of other digital system at the market. Zimo are expensive and difficult by use it. Märklin CS3/CS3+ are lesser expensive but are more friendly by use it. Märklin CS3 allows you to use Apples computer like Imac to upgrade system while Zimo and Roco Z21 it works only with PC Windows by upgrade system. This is information that must and should shows up here via video. DCC means Digital Command Control and are basic protocol for the layout.
there are a handful of DCC systems, many offer different features, and with those features they also have different price points, it really depends upon what you want. - as to using a Macintosh verse a PC computer - this is only a matter of running software packages on your mac such as Access to Parelles - the Roco App, works on both Android or IOS.
Can you run this on NPB track?
it is not recomended to use an abrasive to clean NPB track, as it can damage the plating - LGB Track cleaners use an abrasive pad on the cleaning wheels.
I recently purchased an LGB 20212 with chugging sound and smoke. It ran well for a few days and it stopped all of the sudden, the front light still turns on, but the engine does not move forward. It still runs in reverse. Could this be a motor issue?
please contact us directly at Trainli
I am having this same issue. Did you end up getting a resolution to this?
Very cool
Have you thought about a bender for 3 rail/ Dual gauge track using 45mm and 32mm gauge track?
If only lgb made sure the train could actually run, and move on a railroad, for the set I got the Jupiter lost, had defective gearing, so I will have to have a talk, with the retailer/lgb, about a way to rectify this issue.
the Golden Spike set is a limited Musuem quality set and built prototypically, without aids such as traction tires. - in gneral the locomotives do run, however they are limited to using scale curves etc. - as to defective you'll have to speak to the vendor and or LGB about that.
@@TrainLi yea, I already got it taken care of, where it now runs as it should on its small layout…
THANK YOU!!! KEEP THE LESSONS COMING!😀
Thank you for the feedback :)
Great job. Looks & sounds Amazing 😎👍Thanks for sharing.
Thank you :)
I enjoy your product reviews but would like to see the products in use during these reviews.
Could be me, but the chuff don't seem to line up with the wheels properly. Could have sworn these were installed with a chuff cam of sorts.
count the chuffs per revolution, I didn't use the chuff cam.
2:30本物の雪!素晴らしいです。
Wished they made models of the VIRGINIA & TRUCKEE locomotives like this.....
That would have been awesome
Hawley you ever thought about renting them?
What was the blue wire for in the old style motor block?
old style motor blocks tradtionally use 3 wires, blue was not a traditional colored wire used.
I’ve seen these in person and they are absolutely beautiful but and I mean BUT $6000 plus is a bit much. Of course that is pocket change to many but I think it is a bit much. All said beautiful work and quality.
Outstanding. Thanks for sharing 👍😎
Great thing Marklin was able to keep LGB going. Awesome video TrainLi !
YOU NEED TO MAKE A VIDEO ON HOW TO USE THIS CONTROLLER!!!
we are slowly working on more American videos talking about Zimo - I've been working on the use of the Roco App, rather than the MX32, in that at present the MX32 is not available, and will be replaced with the MX33.
@@TrainLiwe have the mx33 now and can’t figure out how to use it. Changing the language to English took about two hours for the mx10 (easier) and the mx33
What happened? Are you still going to post the next episode? Or any future videos? I enjoy these build series videos and I also really enjoyed the earlier videos with the other guy, the repair expert. I like him and the repair videos.
yes
I have the stainz locomotive 20212. I cannot find a manual anywhere and I need parts. This set has huge sentimental value. And I simply cannot afford to lose it. Can you help? I need a wheelset and motor.
Did you ever get help?
Manuals and parts PDFs may be found on our webpage, Trainli.com under the drop-down menu Resources then LGB Info. we offer complete service on most G scale locomotves.
Can you do a video showing your layout ? I’d like to see it and get some creative inspiration. Thanks.
Just watched the videos on tunnel portals. Awesome job. Your layout is awesome. Do you have any videos posted on it yet. Also, the second part of the series ended with the mortar being put on the build up and then it just ended. Is there an ending to this section. Thanks again.
Fabulous front-of-train video. Love the broad curves and long curved platforms.
I checked out the 'big box stores' looking for the tile you use, but all I saw had glass tiles mixed in? Can you tell us more about the tile?
I get the real stone tile at Home Depot. They come in12"x12" squares. www.homedepot.com/p/MSI-Emperador-Split-Face-12-in-x-12-in-x-10mm-Polished-Marble-Mesh-Mounted-Mosaic-Tile-1-sq-ft-EMP-SFIL10MM/202814269
There is no sound. I have a problem reading fingers.
I have built the Jupiter & 119 with cardboard that they are about the size of the g scale
What is the music in the beginning?
Can tires be fitted to all wheels or just the one?
Awesome channel you have I enjoy and welcome to mine 😀
