Halloween 2024
Halloween 2024 in Peters Township in my community along with my trusty DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Starting at dusk, just a casual walk around the community to witness all the creative decorations. Then there was that last house :-O

Leaves & Garbage Trucks
มุมมอง 4554 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I remember growing up as a kid on Long Island, NY, my mother had 2 or three rakes we used especially in the Fall ( I hated the Fall season). Then in '95 when I moved to NJ (Bergen County) none of my neighbors owned rakes, they all had leaf blowers which I thought was the coolest thing. Today, all grown up I own three leaf blowers (don't ask, it's a long story) unfortunately for me none of them ...

Quick test shoot yesterday using the Insta360 Ace Pro. Color profile was log, using Cinematch its graded to look like a Go Pro 10. I downloaded the Insta360 Lut but I think the colors were way over saturated when compared to shooing in the cameras vivid color space. Also was playing around with horizontal lock with the camera mounted on the mini tripod that comes with the camera so no gimbals w...

Great concept -- and putting in speed/distance data as well -- but the camera placement isn't good due to the distorted fish-eye imagery (not to mention the speeding-up/slowing-down parts don't work -- too "busy"). IMO, it's best put the cam facing to the front out your windshield to get a normal/leisurely/real-time (no "enhancements") view to see what you see -- like a simple dash-cam in a car/truck. -- BR
Thanks for your feedback. I take it your not a fan of "tiny planets" :D While packing for the trip I made sure to pack my suction cup mounts as well as all my mounting options for the camera but on the day of filming couldn't find an appropriate mounting point at the front of the cart, I didn't feel confident the suction cup would stay connected to the windshield of the cart or the suction cup might damage the plexi-glass? How to explain that to the villages. In the coming days Ill be posting more golf cart videos, I will try to edit them better with other ideas I have. Thanks again for your feedback.
@@ScottHirschman Well, Scott, it's your channel so please know I DO realize it's YOUR call how to do your golf-car trips -- including any artistic or cinematic "enhancements" your creative side wants to add to the camera footage. I was just saying how I (and just one person, so it may be ONLY my view) was reacting to them. Naturally, I've watched other "Villagers" make golf-cart-trip videos and they usually mount their camera up front so you have a normal driving view. Or, wear the cam (like when on a bicycle doing ride videos) so wherever they turn their head the cam sees also. For me, a dash-cam location is just easier to follow looking ahead as it's more natural, but yes, side views aren't great as they just fly by so you don't see much. However, most (unlike you) do not add data such as speed, direction or even a map (like a GPS does, showing a vehicle's position/progress) except for one Villages Y-T channel recall that DID a nice job on that. Sadly though, that couple suddenly stopped posting videos about a year ago (with no explanation) so no more golf-car-trips from them (hope the cause wasn't something serious). But yes, including location data is important, especially for people not living there but are researching living there -- and what it's like driving around in a golf-car. Especially if locations (or what stores/rec-centers/villages we're seeing coming up) isn't given in the narration as we then would wouldn't really know where the locations are unless we can make out signs/street-sign names (and find them on Google Earth, for example). I mean The Villages are HUGE and the location of a golf-car could be anywhere in that 57 (?) square miles area if a running-account (like a Tour Guide does, if you will) of location isn't given. Best wishes for your channel. -- BR

Awesome Top Quality Shave video watching from England
Mantap
?
Looks like a great place except the giant mound of towels. Also, shavette is not a straight razor, but it’s not a bad thing to shave with. Great practice for the real thing. That’s sad seeing Art of Shaving not even using their own shave soap or cream. He didn’t even use a shave brush to make a lather. Instead he used a barbershop liquid lather machine. Subpar compared to Art of Shaving soaps and creams.
that's a shavette, not a straight razor
Technically yes but it's close enough according to the mouse. At least it's not a cartridge razor 🪒
15 minutes of running water. What a waste
The Tench class were the most advanced and capable American subs of WWII, consequently, they had the longest postwar service life in the USN. Many Tench boats underwent substantial modification in the late 40s/early 50s timeframe. Some of them were fitted with snorkels, a device used to feed air to the diesel engines and extract exhaust gases while the submarine is submerged. Requin received this modification. The retracted snorkel head can be seen near the aft end of the sail at about the 1:00 mark. Extended, the snorkel allows the diesels to operate when the sub is at "periscope depth", about sixty feet down.
I agree with you about the Tench Class as being the best of the WWII boats, the navy learned from its mistakes I think starting from the Gato's Class. Have you seen this Article, must be from the Rosco book? navsource.org/archives/08/pdf/0829295.pdf
And to think these lovely people voted in desantis.
