Peak District - Wild Camping - Bamford Edge
This was my first visit to Bamford Edge, and certainly not the last. We parked in Bamford itself and made the fairly simple walk up on to Bamford Edge for a January wild camping trip. A very easy and enjoyable over night trip.

Peak District - Walk - Axe Edge Moor
มุมมอง 2975 ปีที่แล้ว
It was snowing in the Peak District and so it was time to make the most out of these winter conditions with Grandad Keith. So off we headed over to Axe Edge Moor, this was all about getting out and and enjoying the exercise. We virtually had the whole walk to ourselves all day to enjoy this beautiful conditions. We hope that you enjoy this video. Regards Wasdale Man (James)

Peak District - Cycling - High Peak Trail
มุมมอง 4666 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we take to the mountain bikes and explore the High Peak Trai in the Peak District. We take in the Leawood Pumphouse, Cromford incline, black rocks and Cromford engine house. Then enjoy the route for what it is today, a disused railway and cycling route with a real feeling of history. We hope that you enjoy this video. Regards Wasdale Man (James )
Lake District - Walk - Blea Tarn - Side Pike
มุมมอง 2.4K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the video of a classic Lakeland walk, from Blea Tarn to Side Pike. We noticed it on a leaflet in the sticklebarn pub the day before and decided to give it a go. This was another exceptional walk that can be tailored to meet your own physical needs, literally do as much or as little as you like without disappointment. Then onwards to the National Trust Stickle Barn Pub to celebrate our 5...
Peak District - Wild Camping - Kinder Scout - Edale
มุมมอง 5746 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the video of my first winter wild camping trip on Kinder Scout with Grandad Kieth. So off we set at our usual leisurely pace to enjoy the snow capped Peak District in all its glory. I hope that you enjoy this video. Regards Wasdale Man (James)
Lake District - Wild Camping - Walna Scar - Blind Tarn
มุมมอง 1.7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Time for another relaxing wild camping trip in the Lake District, this was originally planned for Blind Tarn but unfortunately the wind had other ideas. From past experience we found our tent not to cope very well with strong gusts. Luckily for us we found an even better spot with a perfect sunset and stunning views of both sides of the Coniston range, then what could be better than relaxing an...
Lake District - Wild Camping - Old Man Of Coniston
มุมมอง 2.7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a video of wild camping and walking on our first and favourite mountain, The old Man of Coniston. To us this has everything, there's superb views including Coniston Water, Windermere, the Coast and not to mention the various Tarns. It has a monumental cairn and triangulation pillar to plant your flag once you have conquered it. Then there's the quarry and slate workings for a bit of a h...
Malvern Hills - Walk - Great Malvern
มุมมอง 6K7 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a video of our walk to sunset along the Malvern Hills. It was a day that totally surprised us for many reasons. The hills have amazing views, lots of history and the memorials along the way that are quiet humbling. Maybe its encouraged accessibility is what makes it so popular and used in such a positive way. Then to top it all we rounded the day off with a stunning sunset. We hope that ...
LAKE DISTRICT - HODGE CLOSE - QUARRY - CATHEDRAL CAVERN - AND - SLATERS BRIDGE - EXPLORING - WALKING
มุมมอง 9K7 ปีที่แล้ว
So this is bank holiday weekend in the Lake District. Me and Mrs Wasdale together with Grandad Keith decided to head for the hidden gem Hodge Close and it's almost deserted car park. This was a very relaxing walk designed to bring back a few great memories from Hodge Close above and bellow. From here we headed to cathedral cavern, one place that the weather struggles to spoil. Then on to the an...
Lake District - Wild Camping - Mosdale Horseshoe - Wasdale
มุมมอง 1K7 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the video of our trip around the Mosedale Horseshoe from Wasdale, from the summer time. For us it was a continuation from our trip the year before around the Scafell Massive. So its time to drag grandad Kieth away from his allotment, even brother Neville wanted to come this time. Off we head taking in Red Pike, Kirk Fell, Great Gable and a night camping on Pillar all with varying weathe...
Peak District - Wild Camping - Kinder Scout - Ringing Rodger - Edale
มุมมอง 2.1K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Its time to get the winter wild camping gear out and grandad Keith once again. So off we head to do a short energetic walk on to the Peak Districts Kinder Scout. This place is never the same from one visit to another, on this trip it wasn't the same from morning to afternoon. I think that's why we like it so much. I hope that you enjoy our trip. Peak District - Walk - Kinder Scout - Edale
มุมมอง 4.5K8 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video Me and Kirsteen decide to take advantage of the really nice weather for the time of year and do a walk up onto Kinder Scout. So after the breakfast meeting we headed up Grindsbrook Clough then followed the southern ridge until we cut across Edale Moor to Kinder Downfall. This is kind of a walk threw guide of the day, we hope that you enjoy watching.

My wife and I moved from St Ives in Cornwall to be close to our son and grand daughter. Happily they, and now we, live in Malvern, right next to the hills. We had no idea how lovely they are until we came. It’s not Cornwall, but it’s nice to live here.
New Subscriber.. great video.. very nice area.. 20 mins west of Ambleside.. very nice Blea Tarn.. great drone shots too.. ATB from Canada 👍🙏
Bit late to this one, but great video, going up the steep way, saw Dean go that way in one of his vids, I went the long way when I did Bamford 😁 Only ever been passed the cafe you mentioned, not actually been in before. Can’t fault you escaping love island 😂 Thanks for sharing Atb Mark
I did this walk back in November on a really clear day, I had stunning views of the pikes, crinkle crags, Bowfell & Pike O blisco from side pike summit, I then carried on to Lingmoor fell. It’s an easy pleasant walk.
Great video, we hiked Coniston old man a couple of weeks ago. It’s a stunning part of the national park. Regards The Shackleton’s
Loved the vid. Have recently been up there..so it was enjoyable to watch:)

a trick : you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Mekhi Gary yup, I've been watching on Flixzone for years myself =)
@Mekhi Gary Yea, been watching on Flixzone for years myself =)
@Mekhi Gary yea, I've been watching on flixzone for since december myself :)
At 1,395 ft. (425 meters). Equals 465 Yards. 1 Mile = 1760 Yards. 1/2 Mile = 880 Yards. 1/4 Mile = 440 Yards (1,320ft). Therefore Worchester Beacon is a little more (25 yards) than 1/4 of 1 mile high. Please do comment if any of those numbers are wrong (To within feet, meters or yards (not inches or divisions of a meter (TY))).
You certainly know your stuff.
@@wasdalemanexploringoutdoor5137 TY. We used to run the 440yards at school before metrification. Twice around the track was half a mile and 4 times around was the coronation and assention of George the 3rd and consequently the year George 2nd died. LOL

Thank you very much.
Looks like you two had a great night, looked a good laugh and some great views. All the best, cheers Joe.

Loved this walk,I'm in the peak district a lot do you have this route available?would like to try it myself
To be honest we walked a really long way around to get to this when in reallity we were only only parked 30 minutes away in Chelmorton, we just tried to make it a bit more interesting. Send us an email to Wasdaleman@btinternet.com and I will send you a route if your still interested. Sorry for the delay, I usually reply on the app but for some reason the messages are not showing up unless I log on to a pc. All the best and glad you enjoyed the walk. Regards James.

Cool film. I've never done Pillar and it looks a really good one for a summit camp. ATB, Chris
Sorry for the delay Chris but I really appreciate the comment. Pillar is an awesome place for a wild camp but extremely exposed. I think we were unusually lucky to have such good conditions. I must admit I would love to do the horse shoe again one day, I was demanding in places. Happy new year.

SUDUT BELUKAR Hi There, You certainly are not going to get snow over there😉 I’ll check out your channel, yours definitely looks more lively with animals and the forest. Regards James
Wasdale Man Exploring Outdoors The forests in your country are much cleaner than in my country
Yes they are very clean, you don’t tend to see many people in them. The wild life like deer are very shy, you’ll be very lucky to see them. Why are you forest not clean? Is it from people
*Super! Full preview! Natalya*
Thanks Natalya
Sorry, James been a bit laid up and busy with other projects and so missed this, what a change in a few months eh? You have a great spot there with fantastic views, where was the drone? ;) Nice to see you out as I say I am laid up acute Sciatica, ended up in an ambulance as my sciatic nerve went into spasms... But I am slowly recovering and hope to be planning a wild camp in the future, once I get fit and able to return to work to fund my Ultralite gear... ;)
Sorry mate you tube hid your messages like loads of others I've just found them. Drop me an email at Wasdaleman@btinternet.com and we can have a proper catch up(new computer and lost your email) Hope that you have recovered. Regards James

Hi James good to see you & grandad Keith out again..great spot up there I did it a few year back & I camped on the edge.that Bamford Clough path has been blocked off like that for as long as I remember but for no apparent reason.grindelford cafe is quite a famous place & yes I've had quite a few of the chip butty's down there very nice they are..hope you & you're Mr's are keeping well & the old lad grandad Keith too.stay safe mate & tfs.Andy.
Andy It was your video that motivated us to get up there, we were looking for something simple and that fitted the bill. That was just a play around video after a few bad injuries last year, I had it all planned out this year until the serious business of this virus kicked off. I think we will all appreciate what we have even more when we are allowed back out once again. You take care yourself and your family. regards. James
A steep climb up James, which grandad seemed to handle well again. All fairness to him he's pretty good. Aah, just stopped to blow my horn out of the window for the NHS and others. Any way, good going. I trust you're well. Mark
Hi Mark Yes we are all doing ok at the moment, just raring to get outside into the countryside. March is my favourite time of year, it’s when everything comes back to life after a hard winter. You take care of yourself. Regards James
