    "Hi, my name is Rachel, and Im reading straight from a giant script right in front of my face". Just be natural. This robot ai type stuff is awkward and unnatural. 4:31 - this looks like a 3 year old, not a 15 month old. The gestures you are expecting at 15 and 16 months are so far beyond what kids at that age cana actually do. I haven't seen even a single 16 month do "stinky" or "wait" gestures. That's WAY more advanced than this age. More like 18-24 months. You're talking about serious mensa kids who are ready for college at 10.

    • @Atema-vf6cd
      @Atema-vf6cd 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have to disagree. Although my 16-month-old doesn't use thumps up, wait and the peace sign, he is able to do every other sign mentioned. In addition, he is able to use our own sign language for "come here", water, elephants, airplanes, and trains.

    • @jfcdisguy
      @jfcdisguy 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Atema-vf6cd Of course he is, if you drilled it into his head. You won't convince me that he just picked up the "I don't know" with a shrug or "wait" with a hand up naturally at 16 months. My baby does most of these too, but it's because she's been through early intervention and I'm being super vigilant, but most parents with healthy kids don't need to go through this and still have smart and socially healthy kids.

    • @Atema-vf6cd
      @Atema-vf6cd 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jfcdisguy You missed my point. I answered a slightly mean comment that claimed, only gifted 16-month-olds could do all those signs. I certainly not "drilled" him to do that. If one uses signs to a certain extent, the child will imitate some of it. Now that he's 18 months old, interests come into play too. If I show a new sign, do certain work or animal noise two or three times, he will imitate it immediately and uses it on his own the next time. (When he sees a bag of salt to scatter on ice, to give an example)

    • @jfcdisguy
      @jfcdisguy 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Atema-vf6cd They never said that you have to be gifted to do all these. Just that kids don't just pick up some of these naturally. Waving, finger pointing, nodding and shaking head sure, because everyone does it all the time, but "stinky" and "I don't know"? They only see it if you make an effort to drill it into their head. I get that you're trying to show off, but don't represent some of these as normal for all kids.

    Im a first time parent, and i never knew screen time was a bad thing intell my son turn 1yr old. Now carry this guilt and shame feeling like im the worst mom and i wish i had someone to tell me about this. Now im trying to not let have screen time as much and make it less time. But im currently pregnant and my bf is working so its hard to having to do stuff while im not there for my son while i clean/ cook/ or take a rest for myself for abit. I read, i draw with him, and i play also go outside with him. I really try my best, and wanna help my son development. I need advice on how i can help my son development.. he knows how do certain things that my doctors is surprised abt. But i make mistakes on my anger and stress, i yell not to do this and that. But im working on talking towards him while he can't because of this and that and why he shouldn't.. and i make mistakes on letting him watch videos while i rest or cook, what should i do instead of letting watch videos? And what should i do if i didnt let him watch his videos but he starts crying or yelling?...

      I’m so sorry you feel this way! I hope you can give yourself some grace and kindness - none of us know what we don’t know! We are all learning & figuring this whole parenting thing out as we go! Now that you know it might not be positive for your son to have so much screen time - you can take action- that’s the best we all can hope to do as parents; especially when we learn something new ❤️ it will be hard at first for your son if he is used to screen time (being upset, yelling, expressing himself with big emotions is all normal response to his routine changing- allowing him a safe space to be able to express himself but staying firm in boundaries like “we can be upset but we don’t hit etc” or “I understand how frustrating and different it is not being able to watch __ right now, it’s ok to cry, I’m here, I love you let’s play with ___ instead” or “do you want to play ___ or ___?” ) Start by cutting back a little by little if doing an “all at once change” and cutting screen time all together seems to be too much for either of you! Just think the less screen time he gets in the daythe better. There will always be situations where maybe you or he are sick and it may feel needed. Some days as parents we are in survival mode and it can be a useful tool. We just have to try and stay mindful. It’s really about minimizing the amount of screen time. Coloring with him, talking to him, reading to him, playing with toys with him are all wonderful things to do but they require your time and attention and we all have different capacities for this for many reasons! I get it! Just try to do the best you can do each day- remind yourself/know that each day is a new day and a new opportunity to make a positive change or to try to do a little bit better than the day before. None of us have it all figured out and none of us are perfect. You are doing an amazing job!!!🫶

It's just too much money for me but I will say I have a 28-year-old and a 20-year-old. My 20-year-old had problems walking and holding a rattler with both hands but when he got 2 years old he was able to button his own shirt. So whatever they cannot do right now or at 6 months at 2 year and he learn how to button his shirt and put on his pants and go to the bathroom on his own. He learned that very fast but walking. I had to help him with that and I had to just let him fall in the grass when he fell. I didn't say anything and by the third day he can walk on his own

    Thank you for your video! Tip: please adjust the volume of the sound, while adjusting the sound for your voice the music is very load. Equal volume would be great

    Hey, I love your video. My baby is so brilliant. But he is not talking as yet. I think I gave him too much Screen time .

      I’m so glad you enjoyed this video! It’s never too late to start cutting back on the screen time! I’m sure your baby is brilliant they are little sponges taking in everything and so eager to learn from us! Try starting little by little making small changes in cutting back the screen time & instead playing with him, talking to him, singing him songs and you should start to see him attempting to communicate more with you ❤️

    Even push walkers cause baby to lean forward which is not teaching a proper gait

    • @PassableParent
      @PassableParent 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s important that push walkers like everything else be used in moderation and in combination with other toys to promote proper development! Push walkers like the ones I talk about in this video can be very motivational and encourage the confidence needed to attempt walking! Thank you for watching!

    how about phonics learning without the screen? I'm just playing it as music for my 11 month old child to listen to. Any dangers to that?

    • @PassableParent
      @PassableParent 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is no scientific evidence that music is harmful to babies other than if it is played too loudly or inappropriate for a young child! Music is great for babies especially children’s songs like “the itsy bitsy spider”, “wheels on the bus”, “head shoulder knees and toes” all of these types of songs you can sing with baby and do hand and body gestures to teach them new things! Thank you for watching 🤍

      We have gone in June & in the winter before! The weather was nice both times! Hotter in June but they gave us lots of water and breaks in the AC! Enjoy your trip!
