How to hang a frameless mirror (and where to find a deal on one)
Nice job on this! Just wondering how it's holding up and if you have anything you would have done differently? And how do you like the Costco hot tub? Seems fairly inexpensive, but does it work well?
yikes...
Where is the wood top from? 😊
It’s from Lowe’s, with Minwax’s Early American stain 😊
I love this
Where you bought the bracket? Amazon or Home Depot?
@@aliajackson7484 the brackets came with the mirror from Home Depot
My husband wonders how much use the kids are getting out of it now, more than 18 months later :)
I’m very cheap and I have no friends because I go on marketplace. I’m about to get four of these mirrors that are a little bit longer than yours but same width 20$I will probably have to go to Home Depot or Rose to get the screws and there are stud finders on our phone now anybody doesn’t wanna buy one
Thank you
Where did you get the hardware from?
Well, then, maybe you should get a bigger house I think it was cool😀
Ikea only have this in white, which is a bummer. It's also bizarre considering most of their other units have several finish choices.
So much better having stuff like this than video games. Also very informative video instructions, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed!
What screws/bolts did you use to get the 2x4 into the ceiling joints?
We did pocket holes then I believe 3 inch screws into each ceiling joist
I love the setup. Any chances you can send me where you got the rock climbing wall holds?
Super Helpful! Plan to do this for my grand kids! Love the rock wall too! Where did you get that nice thick landing pad? They seem to be much more expensive than i thought they would be...
Sorry for the late reply - our landing pads are actually part of a Nugget play couch
how do you deal with the lateral swing load
how do you know that its structurally safe? id like to do this but im curious about the horizontal load on the wall
Yeah we watched other tutorials to get an idea, then we put more screws into the studs than was necessary. My husband’s an engineer and knows more about weight load and structural stability, and he was confident we overdid it. We’ve had the rock wall up 2.5 years now and not a single issue
Short and to the point! Thank you!
For the frame, what size lumber did you use? Are those 2x2s?
2x3’s
Great job! I appreciate you sharing that, I am looking for some ideas and this really hit it - Thank you!
Trying to do this for our kids in our basement and I have a question about the direction of the bars, I can only seem to find the same style of bars that you have in this video but I am pretty sure they are meant for an outside set where you would install the bars from the top (so as the kids swing on them the screws are facing down into the structure). I can not seem to troubleshoot this problem well and I see you installed them from the bottom, I am worried if we do this that over time the bars will get yanked out due to use. Has this been a problem you have had at all with the bars getting loose?
We came across the same thing while researching. We looked for another style, and we found some that attach to horizontally to the inside of the boards, but they were a bit more expensive. These ones are holding up great though and we haven’t noticed any problems. It helps that every screw is into a 2x4, so it’s pretty solid
this is exactly what. I am trying to make for my kids, this video will be a great reference! thanks!
could you just please tell me what matts did you use on the floor?
@@pawelmisiak5481 those are a Nugget couch just layed out underneath
@@taylorstuds thank you, thats such an amazing idea
how did you deal with the swing load? types of screws to use?
@@whythissucks829 my husband’s an engineer, and we over did all the supports. I’m pretty sure we used 3 inch screws in every stud (sorry for the late response)
Is it possible to pass the cables behind the bissa?
Yes, the back of the Bissa isn’t solid
Hi, where did you get the wood top?
TY, that turned out nice.I just started sewing,my first pinwheel that I made just the other day turned out with one side longer than the other, being 6 by 6 I pressed and trimed each time after sewing .Im going to try again, starting with 10by10.👍👍👍
Did you buy a dresser that was already built or did you create (diy) your own dresser?
It was an ikea dresser we already had, that happened to fit really great in the space
So worth it!!!
Great Job!!
Thanks!
I like the sashing between the blocks.
Good Job!!
Wow
Impressive waste of space. I don't even have room to do that in my 8,000 sq/ft house But I do have a book wall that's about 20 ft high and has the ladder that rolls on a track and wheels
Could you tell me the dimensions of the block please? Thank you.
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I started with 10” squares, and they became about 12” finished blocks. Hope that helps!
