We sat down in the bleachers on the back straight at Seekonk and almost immediately a crash happened and one of the cars skidded to a stop in front of us [on its roof] - last time she ever came with me 😂 be funny if this was the night

I was at this race as a reporter for Area Auto Racing News. I'm retired now, but for many years after this race, I worked for Kenley Dean Squier. He was a great mentor, a great broadcaster and a great friend. One of the many dities I had at WDEV was producing broadcasts of ACT races from TR and other tracks. I still go to the Thursday night shows. BTW, there is nothing today like the Busch North series. It was like a big circus of drivers, crews, reporters and photogs...and a whole lot of fun.

*_Noki's dad Nick Fornoro Sr was the starter for KART and our starter throughout the 80s in north east midgets. Noki past his rookie test at Indy I believe that year and we were hoping the ARS series would springboard his career into the Indy KART series. Unfortunately Noki never get the chance and a some years later His career was diminished due to a head injury during a USAC Sprint car show !!!_*

3:02 I'm surprised there's no snow still on the ground, following an historic blizzard that hit the Northeast only 2 months prior. Perhaps they're were still piles out in the parking lot. It was quite an experience at 11 years old.
