I had to relearn calculus this summer and decided to jump down a rabbit hole about learning math. Officially my first long video so let see how many people actually watch to the end. Huge thanks to Professor Stephen Flusberg as well as those from my discord for letting me interview you!

I am finally free from data structures (ofc I still need to review but for the most part I'm done!) Now I can move on with my life and do some real programming. I had this video made quick cause I'm leaving for Italy literally as I am typing this out. So until next time, Ciao!

Welcome to hell, aka: Data Structures and Algorithms. Watch me suffer as I begin my learning journey of becoming a programmer worthy of an 80K starting salary. (Just kidding, I want to make stupid stuff with my big brain)
I took a class on Learning and Memory, let me share what I discovered about our weird brain

Definitely want to redo this video with some corrections and more in depth analysis. But that’s gonna take a bit so enjoy this very VERY basic video. (Never expected so many people on my second video so definitely didn’t do the best job of research…. Lesson learned lol) Links for Info: Salary Stats: www.bls.gov/ What is a Computer Programmer: www.computerscience.org/careers/computer-programmer/...

Why don't you find out about Islam. And you can compare the Quran and the Bible. In Islam, Jesus is a prophet, not a god. And God is one, not three.

My genius uncle Lawrence once told me about job hunting... Employers dont always get what they want. I had owned a video game vending company while in high school and I got accepted to college. Free college education! I went out one day and talked to a few managers and got hired by three companies. I went back to my genius uncle Lawrence and told him he was right! He said, "come to work with me at The Irvine Company and I will teach you in a few weeks what it took me 5 years to learn." I cancelled college and before I knew it I was dating and making love to a former Raider cheerleader named Babette. The only one who has every wanted to hire me off Linked In is the CIA. I have a 202 IQ, I was always smarter than my genius uncle Lawrence, I just never told him I took a few Mensa tests before I enlisted in the Army. Here is the secret to making 500. per hour in 2024: Business owners want to free up their time, they don't wanna mind the store and they prefer to delegate tasks and all the things it takes to manage and run the show. Learn to target problems you can solve quickly and share how but wrap up your pitch with something akin to ROI stuffs. Appeal to their greed, put them in control of something transitional so biz owners get involved with the experience of what you are selling. Close them hard like a guy selling a new gym membership. Biz owners want to write checks and they like ya more if you pound that check and get to work ASAP. I used to cold call biz owners around the country selling them pens, fridge magnets, beer coozies, calendars, etc. Its a year-roubd industry > Ad Specs. I was happy making 2500. a day. If I put that experience on a resume, managers will never call me back for a "job." They dont wanna hear or read about jobs I've had while continuing my education that enable me to manage my time at the rate of 32. per hr. in say, gig work. The only secret that is a secret is I speak 7 languages and I could run a major corporation, no one has to know what or who I know. It is up to me to know why I want to work for whatever company appeals to me. People or connects help you land roles, jobs. Think like a migrant, have resources, a community or group of like persons who can elevate you, if necessary. Small minded managers hire otherwise unqualified persons based on social media, vibes, personality. A resumer sent is nothing if you can't talk to the peraon who hires or his boss. When I started in the Ad Spec biz, I was fresh out of the military and the hiring mgr. was former Army like me. I had to wear a tie, get up at 430am and start calling customers like a madman for 6 hours a day. I got the script, folded it and walked out of the building within 2 hours on my starting morning. Then I went to 4 other companies who did the same thing and discovered that they all did the same thing, every day, six days a week. Some wore ties, most didn't! I wasn't hired by one manager who felt I couldn't read a script how he wanted it to be read. I walked out, dejected and ran into his boss box carrying a box of leads into the office. We had the same name so he told me to go to a satellite office and work for his manager from Boston. The problem was, I interviewed wearing a really nice outfit my wife bought me. I had a whole closet full of Rayon button shirts and DeeJayz clothes which actually got me fired from the previous Ad Spec place. The previous hiring mgr. didn't like that I sat next to his office girlfriend and she commented she like my clothes. Boston Gene hired me, let me learn and earn for a few months, and he didnt mind that I was selling customers from bad leads in the file cabinet. Gene let me study how the company's top earners pitched by day and night, so I also learned how to cold call from a phone book. All 5 companies I worked for in town were essentially using bad leads and the most efficient sales came from a local phone phone book. I altered the company pitches or scripts based on the top earners and I went from making 300. per day to 2800. per day on bad leads while wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Here is the kicker for me. I went to 1 job fair, applied to the 1 job, got that 1 offer and had to turn it down due to a technicality. And now the rejections seem much harder to swallow. Because I had no experience in the role I got the offer for so it baffles me that roles I actually have experience in getting the fastest rejections ever. None of it makes sense.

Maths have a genius problem. If you were to tackle a problem that you don't know other people are solving in half the time, you'd probably just stick to it. But given how even our learning processes are permeated by society, and how the recurring narrative is to show the exceptional cases, of course you'll never feel like you fit in. And by then, it's only a matter of time before you abandon your path if you don't have a compelling reason to learn.

Basic math concepts take awhile for me to get especially how we get a bell shaped curve through a negative exponential gaussian distribution, but I would prefer symbols than doing proofs in maths. Man, did I do bad in proofs class. I guess I just will never understand the logic connected to mathematics. I'm sticking with graduate Economics where I learn concepts such as economic growth, which is really just derived from the biological sciences. But economics is nice cause it's like applied math where you can learn math not only from equations, but learn about it along with the graphs behind them.

for me I like maths because I use it in physics which I like . I think those who have patience and having good grasp on fundamentals of maths can learn easily relative to others.but sometime things gone terrible for me it was complex no., binomial ,probability etc. and somtimes like I am a math lover in topic like pre calculus ,calculus, algebra, trignomatric, set theory sequence and bla... bla...bla.beacuse I like to find pattern in question.

Not everybody can do it, but it doesn't matter... I won first place at my country's national maths olympiad for my category at 15 years old. Basic integration and differentiation was the hardest challenge in the test and you needed to perform both to complete the last exercise. I never got a university degree, and I've been a software engineer for almost 15 years. 15 years ago I was almost broke and now I'm making almost 300K. The tech companies I've worked for are Novell, IBM, Amazon and Oracle. I've also rejected offers from Microsoft, Facebook and Atlassian. Not everyone can do maths, everyone can become a coder, not everyone can become an engineer. Don't sweat it, life works out in the long run.

I apply to numerous jobs online what I noticed that companies keep reposting the same job over and over. It makes me upset when I hear on the local news that the unemployment rate is low but we already know why they're not counting that people that gave up looking for work. Tire of applying to ghost jobs.
