Once again, you’re not entirely wrong. But I’m not Wiccan. I see faith/belief as a crutch at best, a barrier at worst. Magic should be approached like science…with indifference and without presumption. It’s better not to believe or disbelieve. It works better unhindered. As for the word “supernatural,” think in terms of “superhuman” or “superheroes,” rather than as above-and-beyond nature. Such a state doesn’t exist. Everything not manmade in a lab is natural.

You’re not entirely wrong. It’s just I can’t share all your views. But I have to make room for your interests in Western Science (which I anticipate that’s what you’re referring to), something I see as more a burden to put up with than a benefit. Science is lifeless to me, and is not much more than a hobby that someone thought was worth paying high amounts of money to those who practice it. So it’s a profession…it’s a living. I’d rather see the money that’s spent on scientific endeavors rerouted to solving global problems. It might not be sexy and glamorous to help the struggling, but it’s much more beneficial than to waste money on, for example, “discovering” the “newest” star system light years away. We’ll never go there, so what’s the point…beyond scratching an itch and satisfying some pointless burning curiosity? Let’s take care of ourselves and our civilizations first. As it stands, our knowledge is running far ahead of our wisdom.
