Not hitting Birds is egregious. Something in there could’ve been limit 3. The skill change for Seraph was bad. I know they don’t want to kill a deck like they did with Agent and Tachyon, but even once every other turn would’ve been better than the nothing they did. Cyber Dragon needs to be freed. And I don’t even play that deck. It’s just time.

The third effect for star seraph can be a nerf as the deck also relies on mind control and then they change it to their monster for free

This Beatrice ban is absolutely baseless and outrageous imo. Cydra's are still banned and bish is untouched? At least they free'd cocytus and helped out darklords a bit, but.... this banlist is garbage as always (shocker).

Banlist isn't the greatest. All i hvae to say its not good enough, but at least my odd eyes/magician pendulum is getting a buff i lkie to meme my deck sometimes, so i am sort of happy for this banlist even though most of us players want a huge significant change for the meta. I think Seraph they kind of did enough the deck will be top tier still but taking Eclipse out I feel is huge, I felt they played needle anyway in the high ranks so while they may add one more needle which dont get me wrong is still really good going 2nd it wont help them as much as eclipse did. I feel like being able to book a whole field like birds draw 3 or 4(depending if they had chair already) gave them too much advantage that even if you setup follow up generally lead to them having 3 backrow+sphere ir another ht. Borrel could have used another hit but I think the deck by itself is manageable Shaddoll,Unchained Bird can all beat it(sometimes you end up drawing if you rip nightengale but still you can have a higher win rate then not especially when going 1st). The hits im upset about are puzzle and Beatrice, we both are BA gods(so the first minute I saw that I was pissed as all hell lol made no sense to me imo) but Puzzle I just wish they banned bish im scared people find another way to make it but im right with you 6/10! Hey Steven! I really enjoyed your banlist reaction video and quite honestly, I think Konami did a fairly decent job at hitting the correct cards that needed to be hit to better balance the metagame. I'm with you though, I think Phantasmal Lord Ultimitl Bishbaalkin should have been banned because that card is literally only used for degenerate war crimes. I don't understand Konami's logic at hitting around Bishbaalkin without admitting Bishbaalkin is the problem, I really don't. It just doesn't make sense to me on hitting Puzzlomino and Beatrice both to limit one due to the crimes committed by Fleur decks because at this point I feel like Konami is just too afraid to admit the Revolution des Fleurs skill is broken and refuses to nerf it. I feel bad for Burning Abyss players though, Beatrice didn't deserve to go to limit one. You wanted me to put in the comments section how many Beatrice I faced in the upper echelons of the KC Cup? I'll answer just for your information. I was around the top 500 range (I didn't play much because I was cheering on Sean Matrai) but during my entire climb, I saw a grand total of zero Beatrice being played, just like you, so it doesn't make any sense on why Konami felt the need to place Beatrice to limit one. I guess Konami is following the TCG and OCG in their own way because Beatrice is banned in both TCG and OCG so it was only a matter of time before it got a harsher hit in Duel Links and thus screwed over the Burning Abyss players out there. Honestly though, Burning Abyss needs a dedicated Archive Skill going for them that adds more Beatrice to their Extra Deck due to this banlist. I love Burning Abyss so it's sad seeing that deck tanking collateral damage once again due to other decks abusing their boss monster, Beatrice. Next up, you know I'm super stoked about Personal Spoofing coming off the limit two banlist. Now that Personal Spoofing is off limit two, Altergeists won't be as bricky anymore and they have more ways of dancing around enemy negates like Forbidden Droplet. The problem with Altergeist is the fact that once you hit the Multifaker with a Forbidden Chalice or a Forbidden Droplet, the deck instantly loses and while that's still the deck's main chokepoint, it's a lot easier to dodge the Droplet now. Furthermore, seeing Multifaker plus Spoofing in your hand turn one is already a broken hand regardless of what the other two cards in your hand are so I'll take it. I'll definitely be streaming some top tier Altergeist gameplay once the new banlist drops because you and I both know I'm stoked for the Personal Spoofing unban. I'll showcase it to you how the deck functions with three Spoofing. However, as you said, I don't think the extra copy of Personal Spoofing will make Altergeist top tier or anything. What this deck truly needs is Altergeist Protocol if it wants to be top tier and compete with the metagame, not an extra copy of Personal Spoofing. I'll take what I can get though. More Altergeist buffs is always a win in my book. And finally, I will quickly summarize the skill rebalancing because I feel like you might have skipped over some things. 1. Bane of Darkness → This skill is essentially a Buster Blader skill and it got buffed to where you can actually play Buster Dragon now. You need the Buster Dragon on field to initiate the Buster Blader lock and the fact that the old version of Bane of Darkness didn't allow you to play Buster Dragon was an oversight that was now corrected by Konami. 2. Tuning in the Sky → I think you said it already, but you can shuffle back the Mystical Shine Ball bricks from your Hand back into the deck to search the Master Hyperion out. This is essentially a consistency buff for Agent decks, which I'll take because Agents need more going for them. 3. Clear Wing Acceleration → You can send any Speedroid Tuner from Deck to Graveyard now. Before, you could only send Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice. This is a welcome change because I feel like Speedroid is powercrept to Windwitch at this point so they essentially reverted the skill back to its former glory days of full power. Now you have reason to play Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke to extend your plays whereas before, Den-Den Daiko Duke was not a great card to play. 4. Spellcaster's Exchange → You can use this skill anytime during your turn, rather than at the start of your Main Phase. 5. Zombie's Exchange → You can use this skill anytime during your turn, rather than at the start of your Main Phase. 6. Fiend's Exchange → You can use this skill anytime during your turn, rather than at the start of your Main Phase. 7. Barian Battlemorph! The Barians' White Shield → As you said, the only thing they changed here is the fact you can now only use the "Barian Battlemorph" portion of the skill once per duel instead of once per turn. You are absolutely correct and like you said, Star Seraph is still a very broken deck. It probably won't be tier one anymore, but I can see it being a tier two pick. You still have access to the skill that summons a Star Seraph from Hand and one from Deck to get your plays started, which I'll take because summoning x3-material XYZ plays is the deck identity of Star Seraph decks. I do think Star Seraph could have gotten a harsher hit, but it is what it is. This deck got a tap on the shoulder at best, whereas Borrel Link went untouched once again despite taking home numerous Gold and Silver icons. Overall though, this banlist was solid. The Personal Spoofing unlimit took me by surprise but I actually called it correctly on my banlist prediction video because Altergeist isn't great right now due to the influx of Forbidden Droplet running around. Unfortunately though, the metagame didn't really change much. I feel like Lyrilusc and Borrel Link will still be tier one, Star Seraph will drop to tier two, and bringing up the rear at tier three will be Fleur, Sacred Beast, Sky Striker, Time Thief, and maybe Altergeist if the third copy of Personal Spoofing proves to be good enough at bringing them back in the metagame. I doubt it though, without Altergeist Protocol, this deck just gets cooked to Forbidden Chalice and Forbidden Droplet respectively. We'll just have to wait and see, but I am kind of sad that the metagame didn't change much from what it is now. It's fine, it is what it is, and I'll take the banlists Konami gave us. Thanks for the banlist review Steven! Also, if you see Sean Matrai, don't forget to congratulate him for his amazing performance in this September 2024 KC Cup. He honestly did amazing and although he didn't get his Silver icon, getting rank 103 and essentially breaking the top 100 threshold in two days of playing is a really spectacular feat that I've never seen anyone do before. Sean definitely killed it this KC Cup and next KC Cup, I have faith in him to secure the Silver icon that he has wanted after all these years. I wish Sean Matrai the best of luck on his Silver icon journey and praying he gets it when the next KC Cup rolls around.

How do you counter this deck? Book of eclipse + dark hole is a 2 card combo and I think tricky to draw together. IDP would be good I think. Unfortunately don't have x 3 droplet.
