Emily's Ultimate Thrill Ride!
มุมมอง 11614 วันที่ผ่านมา
I took my son Josh and his stepson Devin flying in Rosie just before Christmas. At the time, Josh's wife Emily refused to go, she was pretty adamant that it wasn't going to happen. After she saw the video of Josh and Devin's adventure, she changed her mind. I took her for a 20 minute flight around Bundy on Sunday 29 December 2024. Judge for yourself whether you think she enjoyed the experience.
Josh and Devin In The Yak52

I enjoy taking all my passengers flying in Rosie but it's extra special when I can do it with my son Josh and his stepson Devin who were visiting from California. Who knows, Josh's wife Emily might muster the courage to take a flight on their next visit.

Short Field Work With Angus
มุมมอง 66หลายเดือนก่อน
Part of the training syllabus includes short field take off and landing procedures. I believe it's artificial practising that on a long sealed runway, so where possible, I take my students to somewhere challenging. This airstrip is 550 metres long and is on Angus' parents property just west of Bundaberg. We covered Precautionary Search and Landing procedures and Short Field Take Off and Landing...
First Solo For Angus
มุมมอง 542 หลายเดือนก่อน
One of the biggest milestones in an aviation journey is going on your first solo flight. Today I had the pleasure of sending Angus off on his first solo in this trusty little Cherokee 160. Angus achieved this milestone after just 7 hours of flight training. Well done Angus :) Music by Epidemic Sound - Sunset Drive - Future Joust

Join us for a session of circuit training on day 3 of his journey in a Piper Cherokee 160 operating out of Bundaberg Airport for Peace Aviation. I don't often do ab-initio training becausde I find it sometimes frustrating. However, with students like Angus, the job is a breeze. Good work Angus, you will become a very proficient pi...

My first flight instructor was a cropduster. He had two of these. Great teacher !!😊❤
So much fun and a great video to capture the experience. Thanks Dad!!! It’s always a treat to go up with you, and Devin had an absolute blast.
your skills never cease to impress me the flying and videography all with a smile on your face
Hey mate, awesome video! I've always wondered what the buzzing sound/alarm is in Bell made helicopters? It can be heard at 1:40. Thanks.
You look like David Cassidy in your thumbnail 👍
Did well and Ando was telling me about how great the flight was 😂👍
A Great Video Just shows how great the team is and the fun we had learning from each other... Great work Peter
Some of those 360 shots make the Yak look like a Pod racer out of Starwars!! May the force be with you Luke!!
Nice work Pete
Wow thats low,out of curiosity did that need special permission from atc?

Lovely Yaks 👍🏻the prop and big spinner on the 52 nose wheel looks awesome but I also like the spinner colours and the stance of the 52 TW.
You should have done a dam busting raid down at wivenhoe , lol . I have relatives at crossdale that hear that yak everytime it flys.
Congrats Pete, looking forward to seeing it around Bundy 👍

Sorry but I was told to stop posting them... :(

Well done mate
Why do people always put music with these videos? The sound of the engines is all you need to hear.
Loving the content and what a beautiful plane

Where did your Bell 412 videos go?
HAHAHA!!! I didn't notice you were filming! That's awesome!!!!! Night flying is sooooo much fun <3
That was Meeeee!!! NVFR is sooo much fun <3
Very nice, I've had an interest in aviation for as long as i can remember. A couple of years ago, I got introduced into helicopters by a friend and ever since my goal has been to get to the rotary wing ems job. I've spoken to pilots and ACOs from Vicpol Air Wing, Air Ambulance Victoria, Westpac Northern NSW, Caprescue and CQ Rescue about their path into the profession so it's a really good video to see as I weigh up my options about the best way to get there. Recently was in Bundy and got photos of 522 landing at the hospital and it's return to the airport, recognized a few voices from this channel, wanted to said hi but didn't want to get in the way of things.
The easiest and cheapest way is via military flying experience, but it can still be done via GA if you have the dollars to get a CPL and then get a job/jobs that give you turbine experience, and eventually multi engine experience. Good luck on your journey, don’t be afraid to say hello next time you’re in Bundy. 😊
Thank you. A very interesting video. I’m a desktop pilot. I fly A320s, 737s etc. However, I have taken a great interest in Helicopters and have an AW139, Chinook, H145 etc. I have recently purchased a AB412 and started flying both AW139 and AB412, both in Lifeflight livery, in EMS flights around Brisbane, Bundaberg and Rockhampton. My touchdowns can be a little sometimes. I’m not using VR so field of vision is restricted. But getting better. For the last six months of 2023 my son is doing a medical retrieval stint as a doctor with Lifeflight in Rockhampton. Hence my interest with the Lifeflight aircraft. Continue your good work, I am very green with envy as I have always had an interest in aviation.
What he means with "desktop pilot" is that hes flying a desk. Paper work, etc..
Very interesting Pete. I did enjoy working with you and the crew when i came up to look after the base for Shannon....(Sparky)
Do you know where Peter Underhill is?
I lost touch with him once he left the SCHRS, at the time he lived in Kenilworth. 😊
Thanks for posting that, it was very informative, been subscribed for some time, enjoy your rotary wing videos, gives us ‘armchair pilots’ some great insight into your type of work.....all the best stay safe!
Thanks Michael, I’m glad you found it interesting. I was reluctant to post about myself but my creative director advised that it would be a good idea. Cheers 😊
