Your advice on the rusty candle sticks is spot on; cleaning them and using a matte sealer sounds like a perfect plan and painting them black later is a great option too. My primary concern was to prevent my camera and equipment from overheating. As I work upstairs, where heat tends to rise, I find it necessary to use a floor fan for cooling.
