About our guests: Trace Cohen holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and previously served as Managing Director of New York Venture Partners (NYVP), a family office that invests in early-stage startups. At NYVP, Trace managed over 60 direct investments and oversaw a robust ecosystem providing financing, mentorship, and strategic marketing for portfolio companies. He is now co-founder and general partner at Six Point Ventures, which is also focused on early stage investments.
He has sourced and engaged with thousands of founders, conducted due diligence, and consistently led multiple strategic investments each month. In addition, Trace plays a key role in managing over 50 active investments. He also leads the Active Investors Community, which connects hundreds of investors globally through deal flow, speaker engagements, and networking opportunities.
Before his tenure at NYVP, Trace was President and Co-Founder of Launch.it, a self-publishing platform for PR professionals, agencies, and brands. Prior to that, he served as SVP at iFluencePR, where he focused on strategic communications for tech companies, helping them develop transparent branding and outreach strategies.
Trace graduated from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management with a double major in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He was also a Co-Founder and former CMO of Brand-Yourself.com, a platform that helped students and professionals manage their personal brands and online reputations.
His areas of expertise include branding, identity management, leadership, online presence, SEO, strategic communications, social media, marketing, entrepreneurship, and public relations.
