For some reason when I did this she was nude, and it was on Xbox, it left me speechless

i did it a different way as I was trying to use Unrelenting Force and it wasn't working and then found a variant of that idea.. You don't accept her offer to join, instead exit the conversation then go up the stairs and she will follow and keep asking, so just keep exiting the conversation and keep backing up towards the pull chain. Use the Force shout to knock her nearer the chain , you have to run around her so you are on the right side to blast her nearer. When she is near the chain and she asks you to accept the oaf, accept and she should then pull the chain.

Reading all these comments about the different fixes for this bug takes me back to the NES days where we had to use different tricks to get the game cartridges to work and everyone and their mama had a trick they swore worked every time but of course it didn’t. I can’t remember the last time I did the Trinity Restored Quest Line and I didn’t encounter this bug. At this point it just seems baked into the game.

God damn this fucking game. I just want to do this quest. It just wont work.. it used to! I am here in 2024, and it just doesnt work. Nothing i do. I am following behind her, spaced literally exactly as you are. Nothing. She just turns around, and walks away. Not even cheat menus work. Quest debuggers, nothing. You skip the stage of the quest using a debugger or cheat menu, and the next scene doesnt work, because none of the characters are where theycare supposed to be when talking to nocturnal. I have tried this method of yours over 160 times in the last several days, and nothing. She just turns around as soon as i agree to become Nocturnal's agent, and leaves myself and Brynjolf forever. Why?! What the fuck? I cant force her to pull the chain, cant force her to return, cant force her or brynjolf to go where they need to go, or do what they need to do.. just pull the goddamn chain! If i ever see todd howard on tge street, i will choke him to death with a length of steel chain, i swear to god.... Make a fucking game right, for o ce in your fucking life, Todd! Literally about to murder him in real life for this stupid, 12 year old bullshit bug! ARRGGHHHH!😤😠😡🤬💀☠️☠️

I installed the dialogue mod and ran the Dawnguard quest long after I had begun this quest. I completed the quest yesterday, but the Serana dialogue didn't activate. There was also no way to avoid killing the Watcher, or the Priest. Just as a note for anyone considering using the dialogue add-on, don't do House of Horrors before Dawnguard.
