Its good but its overated to hell. Transitions are not that great, yeah the first track becomes a Tangerine Dream vibe but its not a prime Tangerine Dream track. Listen to Green Carnation Light of Day... if u want a metal band doing a Dark Side level album but this is not that.

I have listened to the album six times already and I think it is a decent album but nothing special. I like the new Grieving Asphalt albums, both 2024 releases. And the new Temple Of Dread. Cheers.

If this album came out in 1990 after releasing their first 2 albums they wouldn’t have a career anymore, why should it be any different now. Bring back calling our ridiculous stuff like this album.

TL;DR- I like Unleash the Carnivore, I think Conceived in Sewage isn't perfect but gets a lot of unnecessary hate, and I liked the video! When it comes to how I feel about the albums, I feel like you hit all the important points! But when it comes to unleash the carnivore, I'd have to say I would rank it higher. I LOVE butcher the weak, and I like to think that just carries itself into unleash the carnivore. Maybe that leads to me having a bias, but idk. I have to agree though when you say that the songwriting and vocal display are a slight step backward, but I feel like it's trying to merge btw and mtd in an interesting way. I'm not saying it's my favorite, and I can understand why you'd rank it lower, but those are my thoughts! And when it comes to Concieved in sewage, I'd say that there are WAY too many people that hate on the album. Is it my favorite? No. As a matter of fact, it's the only album by them I find difficult to listen to front-to-back. I'm just not a big fan of the mastering and songwriting style. HOWEVER, I think many people forget that you don't have to HATE something just because you don't LIKE it. I have to respect the musical prowess and unique direction they were trying to take at the time. I mean, your own review of unleash the carnivore kind of highlights the reasoning for that, and what they did is bring in some more clear guitar tones and riffs, and some more variation in vocal performance. I just think they overcorrected in those directions, and ended up with an album that's harder to recognize as what many people came to expect Devourment to be. Then came Obscene Majesty, and they corrected a lot of those issues in just the right way: muddier mastering, more blast beats, crushingly low vocal performance, more technical riffs and songwriting; to me it feels like mtd pt. 2, and I love it. Anyway, those are my thoughts, and I really enjoy listening to people talk about their opinions and hearing about how passionate they are about what they like, ESPECIALLY when it's something I feel the same way about! Subscribed!

Not a fan of brutal death metal or slam but i love MTD. I don't know why but something about the album hits different than anything I've heard in the 2000s to now. The only brutal death metal album (if you consider it brutal death metal) i can think of that is close to beating MTD after 1999 would probably be Forensic by Mortal Decay. Have you heard the album? If so, what did you think?

I'm a new subscriber to your channel and you might have even mentioned this band in a past video, but do like the Canadian death metal band; Fumigation? I hope I haven't already asked this. Anyway, I discovered them while living next door in Alaska. I ordered them through CDN Records back in 2018. Their album titled "Integrated Pest Management" is an absolute masterpiece. Their sound has some groove mixed in with the death metal on that album, I love it.

Listened to the Hail of Bullets album on the way to work. Really digging it. Hearing some God Dethroned vibes on first listen. Good shit \m/
