เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 พ.ค. 2020
Come along for the AZ Boomer Adventure. I was born in the tail end of the Baby Boomer Generation, and I want to share my experiences, thoughts, and adventures with you. Maybe you will learn something or just be entertained by my exploits. In the end, it is all about having fun, staying positive, and enjoying the adventure.

Action 3 Vrs Action 4 In Low Light
มุมมอง 135ปีที่แล้ว
I just bought the Action 4 because of the bigger sensor, and I wanted to compare it against the Action 3. This is a morning ride I do and it provided a great opportunity to test the low light abilities of both cameras.

Porch Light installation Coleman Lantern 17B. I had a few requests from the last video to show how I installed the porch light. It is fairly strait forward and can be done with some simple tools. Box Canyon Adventure
มุมมอง 1582 ปีที่แล้ว
After a horrific year in 2021 AZ Boomer adventure is back with a fun adventure. My friend Walt took me out on his side by side Polaris RZR. The rain stayed away as we made our way through Box Canyon. We stopped at the Butterfield Overland Way Station and the Box Canyon Petroglyphs. Overall a fantastic day that helped bring me back into perspective.
Poston Butte to Felix Try Again

I am trying to find a route from Poston Butte, West this time. I am following utility and cow trails to try to get Felix Rd. I run into dead ends and have to do some bushwhacking, always on the lookout for slithery critters.

What type of lubricant do you use?
I use Dupont Chain Saver Wax Based Chain Lube with Teflon
Genius. So simple but such a HUGE improvement.
Thanks for the video
Love this! More Gus! How’s the knee healing?
Knee is great, unfortunately my other knee has issues. Will try to get more Gus videos out.
Good video, music puts me to sleep
Thats a spice rack, but a junk drawer works too lol
Measure that corner I found a cabinet around 4 foot tall and it's only about 8 inches by 8 inches
My daughter just purchased the same RV and she was apprehensive about mounting the scissor jacks to the frame. Your video calmed her concerns. Thank you for the video. We need more videos like this.
As retired teacher, that makes my day!!
Great video!! I’ve also done some mods on mine too!! Can you share the specs of the piston you use on the cupboard doors. Attempting the sliding door mod this weekend ! Also going to replace the kitchen window with a window that opens for cross flow breeze. Keep the great videos coming.

Thanks for sending the link! Do you have instructions on how you installed them? Having a hard time getting the 10 inch piston to fit and function in the cupboards above the sink.
I think there is an 8 inch that will also work.
Very nice! 😊
What did i do wrong? Light works but when I turn the pump on the light comes on too , please help with some advice
Sounds like you tapped into the wrong power source. Try another slot, or make sure you are using the same one the internal lights use.
@@azboomeradventure yup you were right all good now . Thanks for the videos
Howx did you do that making the site panel slide
I nailed in small pieces of wood panel width away from the bottom and top.
We just purchased a 17b and were wondering what size is your TV?
32 inch
Thank you
I'm looking at the 17B or the Hideout 175BH.
FWIW, We just bought a 17b, got a great deal on a 2021 that had zero miles on it as it had just sat in a campground for three years with little use. We paid 8k for it which included a nice big roku TV, all the drainage plumbing, a super comfy full sized queen mattress, chocks, levelers, and a bumper bike rack. We just got back from a week through Red River Gorge Kentucky, Mammoth Cave, Great Smoky Mountains in TN, and Babcock Park in WV; it was my wife and I and are 2 big German Shepherds - the camper was great, towed and worked perfect. Really happy with it.
No bathroom sink? or Med. Cabinet?
It is a small camper
So is the fireplace a furnace or is it electrical fireplace?
OK so it’s electric, so there is no furnace in this particular RV?
Where did you get the board that goes over your stove top?
If you could share what size tv were you able to fit in the 17b? Thanks.
Can you share a bit about the sliding cabinet doors? Silly those are stationary.
th-cam.com/video/r-jTE-mWah0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iD82R1TyPRI_D5uT
for the a/c, can it make it super cold inside there?
Depends on how hot it is.
I installed the same kinda bits but from driving alot they got loose so I used a bolt and lock nut
This is a great modification. Thanks for posting. We used a piece of wood and rubber mallet to get the panels loose. Wouldn't budge by pressing. We trimmed off as little as possible, on the sides where the staple holes were, by scoring it repeatedly with a razor knife. Glued in the strips of wood. Turned out great.
I bought used 2017 comet ds. It came with alot useless stuff like awning. Powered. But it's always windy so not safe to use. Gigantic satellite requires subscription but I don't watch TV in 10 yrs. The roof top huge ac is only better when. Having eletric. If u need a generator much better off with that small one. Also yeah eletric jack is vital I can't imagine not having it. Slideouts are pain in ass worth it but alot extra work with constant water flowing into the camper but the extra room is vital for small rv
Good video! I just did this to my Lantern 17b. Thanks for the tips.
Very cool. 👍 Looks like it goes a long way. What makes that beeping sound every once in awhile?
I think it is part of the music. I don’t really hear a beeping.
@@azboomeradventure Ah.. ok.
AZ!! Looks like my sister's neighborhood! I'll be visiting Mesa in a couple of weeks from Oregon. I like too see how others modify and update their trailers. Your strut on the overhead is a great idea. Can you tell me more about that strut, please....we have a 2022 Coleman 1805RB with two overheads nearly identical to yours. I am constantly whining about the overheads needing to be held open. An aside.....Being almost two years into ours now, I recommend to all that you pull your drawers out and inspect them closely. I have had to redo all of the screws that hold the tracks to the sides and apply wood glue to all seams. Ours were basically slapped together with only tiny staples and prayers. On our last trip out, the first of 2024, the kitchen drawer's entire front panel came completely off, the part with the handle that you can see, that matches the cabinet. Good times haha
He's baaack! Heh
why u not use epoxy instead of a nail gun??
We used power grab.
shoudve used a Driver not a drill
Man that’s a beautiful cutting board! ❤
Great Job !!
Just curious why 10” instead of 8”?
8 inch will work also
@@azboomeradventure thank you
Would trade the fireplace for a bigger deeper sink above!!!
Coleman should hire you for their design team!!!😃👍💛💛💛💛💛
Would this installation void the warranty?
I don’t think so, but it would be best to check with Coleman before.
How big is that "bed" that would be on top of the dining table in terms of length? It seems awfully small. Even the bunk beds are only 70 inches long.
What size struts did you use for the middle door?
10 inch www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N57HAFT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
@@azboomeradventure I see 100 newtons on that strut, we tried that strength and was much too strong.
Did you have to put cocking around the door frame and windows? I see some sorta brown stuff on the edging. Is there a reason for this or is that how the camper came?
Nope, I haven't caulked anything. It came that way.
Came that way
I have the 21 bunkhouse it’s a 2020 set up a little different. The microwaves is to the left of the refrigerator and I have the stock refrigerator with the freezer which works wonderfully. definitely gonna put a full queen in anyways I live in New England and I’m going to go put some antifreeze in the water system all done for this year. Nice video though.
Antifreeze in the water system? How does that work just curious, do you shower with antifreeze?
I put the camper up for the winter. We’ll hook up water and flush it in the spring!
Still want to see how you made cabinet panels slide. Even a lil short. Thx
Tubing idea is brilliant. Lookin to buy the new 2024 maybe
Inside. Yea.
Thx Jeff. Would really like to kno how you made those panels slide.
I put would stoppers in the cabinet behind the doors used a nail gun from underneath to hold them in place and nail gunned them in up top slid the doors in from the middle and then put the knobs on.
@@azboomeradventure ah. A new backer for a slide. 👍🏼🇺🇸
Cool video… I have 22 model year ….. I have done similar mods
Rocksteady Plus doesn't work with the low light settings... only up to Rock Steady. May want to do it over with just Rock Steady on
I just bought the same camper and love it so far. I'd like to put stabilizer jacks on the front just for a little bit more stability but I'm a little bit weary about drilling holes into the camper. Seems like when you have to drill holes into any vehicle to install something you're just inviting water to get in
You can try the self tapping screws without drilling, but it is harder.
Did it make a big difference …… I have the same camper with little jacks up front ….
Absolutely, much steadier when walking around.
Last question how far back did you install them …… was thinking on putting them right under where the storage door is …..
I did them about the same distance as the rear @@robacey6933 I did them about the same distance as the rear ones.
Can these be pulled with a Jeep Wrangler??
Not really recommended. It puts you way to close to the tow weight. There are some great Facebook pages for the 17B and there Jeep owners that talk about it.
Jersey city troop have a great ride 😅
Promo'SM 🤣
