yes it is possible, instead of ranking cities you can only rank states

Create this measure: Rank Dynamic = var rankstate = RANKX(ALLSELECTED('Sales Super Store Data'[State]),[sumof sales],,DESC,Dense) RETURN IF(rankstate <= 'Rank State'[Rank State Value],[sumof sales]) 4. In Matrix visual add state, city and above measure in the value section and parameter rank in slicer so by changing the rank in slicer your corresponding 5. what i can think of is now is if you closely observe in my slicer is from Table i have created using sales date where as in my chart date is from sale data that might possible reason

i guess it my mistake that i have not shared that that table need to be created using distinct of sales date that should solve the issue first create date tavle in that date table crate the required measures then in chart place the date from sales table and measure from new table that shoul work second do check in measure have you used correct table for slicing the date from salea table that could be one possible pijnt missed from you

@@Howtosolveprobem Thank you. I watched the video again and maybe it is not a top 3 from top 10 that you did but an option to select specific state. I am trying to figure out both. I can do a static top 3 out of top 10. Choosing states or making it dynamic to select a number of state and get the top 3 city, I am still looking into it.

When you dynamic meaning two different columns? coz total sales should remain the same since it is a single column can you please elaborate your question

If we want to add to parameters field in x axis that contain two different columns changes as per the slicer selection

@@shantiprasadkulkarni3314 no parameters will have column name if you see in table not tha value of chossen category here you can create a dummy table which will have say column name , fields in that column, then sales and in fileds in that column add one row for total value this is only option i can see as of now

Please copy & paste this data to excel and create a column chart On X-axis >> Ticket number column On Y-axis >> Resolved duration column We can create this chart in excel but I am unable to create the exact same in powerbi. Ultimately, I want a chart (column/bar) that shows the duration in time format (hh:mm) Examples Like below 22:30 26:59 28:01 You can have any variables, but at the end I want to see exact time format on charts Please share your email id, I can send the sample excel file for reference

@@sharnumuganoor so you can turn off the axis and on the data label add your h: mm field so graph will be created on calculated time and for display, you use the original column

Hi @Bangloreblogs i guess i missed the max limit to set at 1.001. so it take less than value not equal to value while creating parameters so when you setting range please give max value something thing like 1.01 it should so when in slider you slide to max it 1 will be selected Apologies for inconvenience, i have added the explanation as well in my description

So whenever on the x-axis, if it is sales for a given region then how much is each category contributing is (for example office supplies ) calculate the sales for office supplies

Hi Uday, thanks for the feedback, ideally it should sort even if has more than 10 values if sorting is in increasing or decreasing order but if your expectation is to have a custom sort then yes you first need to create a custom sequence and then sort but that sequence is my understanding of your question is correct if not please provide more context

@@Howtosolveprobem HI, i tried and i found the same problem. The reason is, when the sub categories have more than 10 values, the category will be split into 2 groups in the chart. Since the 'Rank Order Value' is '1xx', it is bigger than other categories' rank order value, like 31,32,41,42..... Do you have any suggestion for this case? Thank you in advance.
