How close is the header collector (down at the bottom) to your oil pan??? I installed a set of holly ceramic coated ones and they are close to my oil pan, was wondering it the heat will be ok

I had a 74 Charger SE Brougham that had the white top, and blue body. Best car I ever owned.

Neighbor had one of these when I was growing up. I turn 16 and I ask about it and she's oh, my husband just sold it a month ago. 😭 FUnny thing she mentioned to be about it. She told me it had a bullet hole in it where someone had taken a shot at her husband and he didn't even notice it until awhile later.

You left out the bubble hood on the 73-74s

It's only two electrical connectors to remove that door completely. Up in the side of the dash. Would make this project far easier - particularly when you're swinging the hammer. I did like your idea of using the crane to lift the door. Wish I would have thought of that.

Brilliant video - well done. But can't understand that if actual problem is a stretched cable as seems to be the general consensus, how does it shorten again with repeated handle pulling and the door then open?

For some reason I see a country music song coming about some bad back woods kid in trouble with the law coming.

My driver side door needs hinges & a lot of other stuff, it’s a nice truck just got some problems since owner before didn’t take care of it at all. Hinges, fluids, oil pump,oil change, brakes, door panel for both doors, door handles for both doors (driver side snapped yesterday cuz of corrosion, luckily it didn’t snap off on both sides completely & still is openable). There’s more that I haven’t listed but those are most of the issues that are immediate attention to get it run & so I can open it & stuff. So basically about 6.5k to fix it with just those.

Hope you knew hood was up on the 71, before it popped up, dig the factory sunroof!

So the fix is to completely disassemble the door. Honestly fuck these engineers and how they design things.

Awesome video thank you. Just one question. I have noticed that a lot of American folks say Acrost, is that how it is spelled and pronounced? Because Downunder we spell it Across and pronounce it without the letter T on the end. Was honestly curious because as I said earlier, I hear it pronounced as Acrost from a lot of American TH-camrs. Anyway, thanks again for a great video.
