What are you using for a cassette lockring tool with your ratchet/torque wrench? Just a park one in a 1" socket or something else?

My 2016 Scott Genius LT 710 has become a bit long in the tooth, and then 170 mm of travel front and back is more than I need on the trails I ride here in the Bay Area. My Criteria for my next bike are: between 130 and 150 mm of rear wheel travel, between 140 and 160 mm is up front, I want the bike to come as a 29er but have the option to run mixed wheel sizes without disturbing geometry or ride characteristics, threaded bottom bracket , enough room to run at least 170 mm dropper post on a size medium, able to run a coil shock ( extra points if it's on the list of bikes that push makes an 11 6 for), be able to run at least 2.6 inch wide tires in the rear, and super boost Hub spacing. So far I've only found one bike that meets all the criteria and it's the pivot switchblade. The other four bikes on my shortlist are: The Evil offering, Alchemy Arktos 279, Yeti SB130 Lunch Ride and this bitchin steed you got yourself right here the Forbidden Druid. It meets all my criteria except for one: no super boost rear hub spacing :( Idk why they didn't include the obvious next step in hub standards considering how much attention to detail went into designing everything else else about this frame. . . I wonder if the Enduro sled they havw Lewis Buchanan prototyping will come with super boost. How do you like the Druid so far?
It's actually my dads bike, I wish it was mine. He loves the Druid and how unique the high pivot is. It defiantly cost more than most frames but it's worth it. The complete SLX and XT build from Forbidden is a good deal. The 11 Six is not needed and the stock DPX2 is a great. But my dad won't build a bike nowadays without an 11 Six. Another company to consider is Revel Bikes.

Very cool Ethan! I will be building almost the identical bike as soon as I get my frame. Same colour, same AXS groupset, Push 11/6, WeAreOne wheels, Magura brakes.

@@ethanrevitch Blue Steel, just like yours. A few blue parts like hubs, stem, pedals otherwise just stealth. Been riding Push 11/6 for a while and think the Druid and Push will make for an awesome bike!
@@ethanrevitch Can you share info about chain length? Was the chain that came with the groupset long enough or did you purchase a second chain? Also, what size is your Druid and how's that working for your height? Thanks!
On size Small and Medium a standard 126 link chain worked perfect. But on anything larger you might need extra links. Forbidden says run no B tension on the derailleur but a little worked better for us. On a related note, the chain slightly rubs the seat stay protector a little in the 10t ring. Not enough to rub through or anything but it bugs me a little...
