With lots of stumbling "umm..." and "so..." (my sincere apologies), I give a tour of the 6502 code behind the game JakeOUT! a Breakout clone written in 6502 assembly for the Apple IIe computer. Steve Wozniak developed the Apple IIe in part to be able to write a software version of Breakout, which he had accomplished in hardware for the Atari 2600. I show where to find valuable resources in 2024...

A take on the legendary BREAKOUT arcade game. The Apple][ computer was designed by Steve Wozniak so that he could make the game, BREAKOUT in software which he had already done in hardware for the Atari 2600. This version was written in 6502 assembly and is 4.578 Kilobytes. It features a modular level system where levels can be created with a level editor program included on the disk.
