As others have stated this is not the actual Screaming Bridge. This was originally a railroad bridge for a spur line coming off the old Rock Island RR main line just north of the Trinity River, the line the TRE runs on now. That old spur served the gravel pits that were in that area up until the late 50's. After the spur was abandoned they converted this bridge to use for normal traffic after the screaming bridge was out, at least long enough to build a new bridge for the old Arlington / Bedford road. That old RR spur crossed the river in two locations in the now River Legacy park area. Further back on that concrete walking path towards 157 / Collins street you can see two concrete bridge pilings, one on each side of the river. That is the location of the second RR bridge. The spur connected to the main line around the area where Bell helicopter is now, crossed the river where this bridge is, went thru the wooded area / mountain bike trails and crossed the river again at the second bridge / now just two pilings and went just a few hundred more feet before terminating at the gravel pits. Why they built two bridges when the could have built the spur toward the East and connected to the main line without crossing the river? I have no idea, there must have been a good reason for it.

thank you so uch for posting this extremely interesting video. Just one little bit of trivia about the man that very few wrestling fans even pick up on is that he was not "Haystacks" as in the plural . He was "Haystack" as in singular. He signed autographs as Haystack and even his gravestone shows the correct "singular" Haystack.

I sure do miss Dave. I followed his ministry for many yrs. Read his books, Set the Trumpet to Your Mouth, the Vision, and others. I still have the books. I also got his written sermons for years. My mom did as well. She made a big notebook with those sermons in it. When she died I got the notebook. I also saw the movie, The Cross and the Switchblade. Thanks for posting this!❤❤

Even tho this is sad to see you have to remember, the Mick lived like a king. People named their kids after him. Men wanted to be like him, their walls are covered with pictures and cards of the Mick and where ever he went, all doors were open for him. It is said "Hero's get remembered but legend's never die " The Mick will be remembered for a long to come.

First off this place is not secret or under wraps...its literally on a main hwy right beside a whataburger with a huge sign that says camp ford you cant miss it. Dont waist your time. Other then being a POW camp there is literally nothing about this camp that deems it to be the most haunted camp in tx other then just getting views. How can I say this? I literally live right across the street and have for over 40yrs. After having birthday parties there a and just hanging out in general after dark with friends, if this is the most haunted camp in texas then texas is the weakest haunt in the world. In all my years and the 1,000s of times I have spent hours there you will never see hear nothing paranormal about this place unless ur a "ghost hunter" that freaks out when a pinecone falls. Dont waste your trip driving all the way out here if this camp is the only reason....better off going to frankston or mineola. Better yet if u want the best of the best in Tx that has anything related to old military then go to Galveston to Hotel Galvez

ALL l can think is "Lord Have Mercy". Just imagining the pain --- actually I can't imagine because it's SO heartbreaking to look at. I didn't know him, but his preaching l Love because he feels like an old time preacher - teacher who didn't play around with the Bible & the souls of people. He did his work that he was born for, maybe it was time for him to leave, because he did it all for TMH. I don't know, then his wife made it through, only to leave one year later. Sometimes, l just think couples do mourn in the sense of being heart broken 💔 so badly, that they are ready to go. RIP Pastor & Mrs.Wilkerson. Condolences Still to the family, sorry for your losses so close together & l believe Pastor Wilkerson was a Godly preacher who gave of himself to his flock to spread real food for the soul. ❤🙏🙌🙌🙌🙌💞💞🌹🌹🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🙌🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏
