VQ35DE vs VQ35HR On The Road Lessons Ep. 1 Pt. 1
In this On the Road series the aim is to give you all some useful insight, knowledge and backstory on one of my favorite subjects. This is part 1 of DE vs HR engine. I’ll be discussing the pros and cons of both engines. The solutions for the common issues with both engines and how to get more horsepower out of both setups. Please feel free to drop a comment with any additional information insight or if you notice i have missed something’s let’s have a discussion in the comment section. Thanks for watching to all of you. If I taught you something like, share and subscribe to the channel. It definitely helps me defeat this TH-cam algorithm and helps get this information to more people who may need help. Thanks you all!!!!

Why can't people make reviews like this ...entertaining but to the point .good stuff dude.
@@XsoukinX thank you. Maybe i should make some more reviews. Any other products you’d want to see?
Thanks for the video, well explained... I just have this issue and your video help me out.
Excellent video, did this myself. 4 years now still the best video out there🔥🔥
That’s dope as hell bro. I greatly appreciate the comment. Makes me feel like i did something good. Thank you.
I like the mood and style of your vid. Good job.
Thank you. I appreciate you watching.
there 190 on Z1 motor sport that were you want to go for the VQs engine mods
I love Z1. But there are other options out there for sure. Not just Z1.
Do you have a trumpet sticker on the bumper near the tailpipe?
Nah bro. I don’t have any stickers on my bumpers
The more I watch your vids the more I wanna be in the same platform wit you my brother 💪🏽😎🫡
Come through Brodie 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@MonkeyRenchGarage 👀😎🔥🔥
Yo you know to much lol 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like this a lot. Would be cool to learn more about any difference in the chassis themselves. Driveshaft, Aero, weight, etc. Maybe esp in the G vs the Z
Trust bro. Videos like that are definitely coming
Can't wait
Looks and sounds great. Loving those Headers and the vibe of this video. Keep it up
b16 nice. Do you have a b15 too?
I’ve never had a b15. Dope cars though for sure.
@@MonkeyRenchGarage yep 🤠
Goes out in a year?. That's weird. I've had the same control arms for 3+ years now.
That’s great. It’s all relative to how the roads are in your area. In mine the northeast road conditions are not always the greatest. And the winters with the salt are very destructive. But that’s good yours lasted 3 years.
@@MonkeyRenchGarage I live in Hamilton, Ontario Canada man. The roads here eats salt on winters and potholes everywhere. I guess I memorized the holes now that I avoid it in advance. 😂
@workingtools2999 hell yea. Either way 3 years is good. I miss the old moog. Definitely had better quality control some years back. Now it’s all a money grab selling low quality parts.
Well done bro💯💯
Appreciate it bro. Thanks for watching
them decals really help with the angle of air intake huh? lmfao
my man feeding them strays is too wholesome
lfgggg these look great
They are beautiful in person bro
@@MonkeyRenchGarage I need to see
Gathering this is still in preparation mode somewhat still down the road , what is the anticipated turnaround time. I'm just curious if this technology development project is your innovation or something designed from a developer offering a bolt on advancement for achieving similar results in turbocharging the 350z Nissan. Guessing we will see eventually!
Yes. Just getting ready to put my turbo kit on. It’s a modified STS rear mount turbo kit. I’m just putting my own twist on it. Removing the restrictions from the factory to be able to make better hp and a cleaner tq curve when the time comes.
But filling how i do it will definitely be able to be replicated.
This thing goes crazy
LET'S GO HYPEEEE
hi i ordered them today, was wondering what is the highest setting on these coilover, like how much lower is it compared to the stock if i were to put these coilover to the highest setting. think you
I’d say they sit about 1.25 inch lower at the highest setting.
Good vid
Yoo bro what's the stainless steel parts call for the test pipe???
O2 defoulers bro.
Thanks, great vid. My front tires have the exact same wear pattern and I was wondering why they did that LOL
Does anyone know where I can find the two bolts that go on the top of the control arm auto zone and advanced don’t have them
You can get them from Z1motorsports.com bro
Thanks big dawg
Wsp bro you still got those rev9 coilovers? If so how have they been holding up
Yessir same coilovers. Honestly they’ve been great bro. I had them in the northeast through some winters and they’ve held up good. Now I’ve moved to Texas where the roads are a bit better they are doing just fine. As long as you dial in your stiffness settings you’ll be fine.
Did you loose your AC after the link instal some people I've talked to say they loose it after using link .... I was thinking about getting the same ecu for my 350z build
No bro. I have full AC function. I feel it actually works better because i bumped my rpm up by 250 at idle when activated and i feel it works better especially here in Texas.
I ordered mine today
Hell yea bro. Let me know if you have any questions with setup.
Thx 🙏🏽
This video just helped me buy these coils
You won’t be disappointed bro.
How are they holding up
Still holding up after all these years. Same coilovers. No replacements
Song?
Can’t wait for the other mods bro. Keep learning that new system to 😎🫡🙌🏼🔥🔥
Facts. I gotta call you too bro. Something i found in the tune.

My boy back and the car getting better!!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 yo dope opening vid🔥🔥your vids make me wanna buy a 350z
My guy 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
What size are the copper washers ?
Unsure honestly bro. I never measured them.
Lol, facts! There are so many blown engine Zs and Gs on market place
Mine lasted for years in California then I moved to the Midwest and in a short time both are bad. It's either rough roads or gravel roads I'm thinking.
I have the same codes and it’s very annoying because I’m pretty sure these sensors are what causing my car to go on limp mode
PRC. Looks cool! I was gonna ask how many miles ya had and it looked like 116,658 at the time. My 2005 G35 has 172,000 still original clutch. Pedal feels high though. Still holds WOT from 6th gear. Not sure I’d wanna tackle it myself though. It’s been over 20yrs since I attempted something like this and it was my S13 SR swap, Fidanza flywheel and Spec3…
I’m at 140k now with the same clutch kit bro.
a long while ago i bought a set for my old honda crx. i had to sell that car but i remember they weren’t bad at all. now i own an s13 with rear blown shocks i think ill buy a set again until i could afford some kw’s so i could compare cheap vs expensive quality. thanks for your honesty and full transparency, very good review👍
What numbers are you running for dampening?
Hey man how did these do after 6 months to a year after installation? Debating on ordering a set for my mustang found some extremely cheap ones for as cheap as 250 which I really don’t know how I feel about them but these caught my eye they’re about 650$ after shipping and tax for everything I’ve seen some bad reviews but a lot of good just kinda wanna know about longevity lol I found another kit about these for about 1100 but then the rest are like 3k plus. I know you get what you pay for but I really don’t need no 3,000$ + set up everyone’s trying to direct me towards I literally drive the car 2-3 days a week and it sees a track a couple times a year. Everyone telling me they ride like ass but after seeing your video it looks like it rides a lot better than what I have now 🤣 I believe the previous owner either cut the springs or heated them up in my car but it’s way too bouncy and I don’t like it and I told my self I wanted to do coil overs and tubular control arms and k member free up some space underneath for my headers and lose some weight. Nice review by the way man! Took me a while to find a good review on these many didn’t really go into depth and explained as well as you did.
Yea bro. I have another link with an update. Currently to this day i still have them on my Z. Original set. No replacement parts. Honestly bro it’s all about you take care of your stuff. and i don’t have mine slammed all the way to the ground. It’s a more functional setup.
@@MonkeyRenchGarage sweet man I’ll look for the other video Preciate it!
