Nice. I currently ride a Honda VTX 1300. Thinking on downsizing to the Shadow 750Aero. I am ready for a lighter weight bike. Just a bit concerned about losing all that power. Do you still have this bike and are you satisfied with the power it puts out?

Buying a 2009 Honda shadow 750 bobber with about 9,500 miles on it. I'm paying 3k for it. Let me know if that's a good deal or not.
At what point should the fan kick on... Mine does not come on
I’m not sure exactly what temperature. Probably around 200 degrees. I know that mine does when I’m stopped in traffic

The front drive shaft spline and the rear drive shaft coupling both need to be greased.
True… I did end up greasing both front and rear on mine. 👍

Great bike. I got my '09 eight years ago, same color even, trouble free. It is a little small for 2 up riding, that's where my C 50 comes in.
Got the 2006 shadow aero. Been thinking of getting an Indian. But the thing is the shadow is paid for and it runs every time I want to ride. Hardley Runs Davidson isn't an option, been around harleys for over 50 years and every one of them are constant repair cases.
I’ve never owned a Harley(looked closely at getting a new sport glide in 2021), but I couldn’t see parting with $23000.00. My oldest son and I looked at the new Indian scout bobber about a month ago.We both loved it. He will probably get one this spring, but for me I’m more than satisfied with my 2015 shadow is all the bike I really need.

They are awesome bikes. I’m fixing to put a batwing fairing on mine with a Rockford Fosgate stereo system. Check it out on TH-cam ( accessories international)
I have the same exact bike. same paint and all. put no baffle straights on it though. adjusted the carbs and it sounds BEEFY

Just picked up a white 2007… so clean looking and sounds great.
The worst thing about this bike is that it uses wire wheels,probably tube tires. This is unnaceptable
It would look more cooler I think with some sort of mag style wheels what’s the tires are tubeless

I'm glad I saw this video my 2005 s50 with 23,000 miles was completely dry so I lubed it up took about an hour and a half for the whole job

In a couple months I’m gonna buy this 05 as my first bike and I have some questions about it. Where do you buy your parts and do you need to buy the certain 05 parts or will they work on it? What oil do you put into it? Do you have any tips or advice?

Tommy, how prevalent/widespread do you think this problem is? You think it affects most S50's from this era? I'm looking at a 2005 w/ 7k miles later today... Great video. Thanks for the info!
Just based on my experience Tyler, the s50 is a great bike. But being of its age and only having 7000 miles on it it will probably make you a great bike however either go over it with a fine tooth comb yourself or have someone who knows about motorcycles go over it very thorough you would probably need two cool the driveshaft it’s really not that hard and check or should I say go ahead and re-grease it also the rear wheel and even check the fork seals and change fork oil

@@tommyharper8924 Thank you for the response. I went ahead and put some $ down on it, not but 2 hours ago. Will take your advice and have a mechanic look at those areas in particular. I bought the bike partly cause of your videos and a few other I found (SRK cycles looked at an earlier model Intruder 800). I'm a fan of those sleeker 80's cruisers like you mentioned. So thank you very much!

Hi Tommy ....saw a 2005 S50 today...looked a lot like the one you have there....what did you pay for yours? This dealership wants 3K for theirs?
I paid $1900 from another individual for mine it had 4886 miles when I got it but I put up some money into it about $1400 for new tires carburetor cleaning and getting and tank cleaning
Did you pull the trigger on the S50? Im also looking at a 2005 from a dealer here in Kentucky. Only 7,000 miles and they are asking $2,900. But before the other fees.... Thank you Tommy for both of these videos, very helpful to a potential future owner here. Cheers
I didn't buy that one at the dealership...they said the bike was on consignment and now the owner wanted 4k

@@tommyharper8924 Sorry to hear that the price changed for you.... Yep I just went to look at the S50 locally. It looked in better shape than most of the bikes half its age in the shop. New Dunlops, pretty clean overall. Rear turn signals were falling off but other than that great. I put down $500. I didnt know this but the dealer doesn't do any other fees besides tax/DMV stuff so I will pay just about $3,100 out the door. Good luck to you in the future.
Does it have decent acceleration?
It does have decent acceleration I camp up from a dead stop with a 5.0 Mustang and he was pretty impressed
