Wire Wrapping - Coiling on a Drill
มุมมอง 21K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I will be doing another pendant tutorial soon (as promised) but wanted to remake this instructional video first. This is a remake of the video I referred to in my first tutorial video here on TH-cam. I had deleted the original and needed to record it from scratch. Hope this helps those of you wanting to make a lot of coils in a short amount of time. Remember, not too much pressure on the line. ...
Wire Wrapping - Loading a bobbin & why it's so useful
มุมมอง 3.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows how I use a drill to quickly load my bobbins. It also goes over using a bobbin and why it should be used. Sneak peak at the end of the video showing what my next couple videos will be on. I hope helps at least a few people. Happy Wrapping!
Wire wrapping - oxidizing and polishing
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows "My" process for oxidizing and polishing wire wraps. I also show how I attempt to protect stones that might otherwise not be suitable for dipping in LOS (Liver of Sulfur).
Wire Wrapped Pendant - walk through
มุมมอง 88K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A start to finish walk through on how to wrap this pendant. . Wire used: all dead soft copper Frame- 20g square 21g half round 22g half round (you can use 21 or 22 for both parts on the frame) . Attachments- 20g round 24g round 28g round 22g half round . I had no intention originally to upload this to TH-cam. This was made for members of a FB group named "wire weaving". It is incredibly choppy ...
Loving the drill techniques. Tried it a few times with 16 and 12 gauge. Havent tried coiling though but i think ill give it a go!!!
"If you sat through this whole video than you have this info....otherwise....your not here" <<< Luv'd that! Made me chuckle 😂
Hoping you get the urge to make more vids, btw.
Once again, awesome tips...valuable tips!
Beautiful piece!! And excellent information, thank you!
New sub here! Don't apologize for explaining what you are doing, even backtracking on mistakes or because you need to and definitely not for the length of this current vid. It is fine as is. Many want to learn from and...yes, with you. You, unlike so many others, take the time to explain clearly and without speed running the commentary which is what many want and need if they care to learn Keep up the good work and continue to share knowledge and creativity!
Sadly, I see (on your channel page) that you haven't made any more tutorial vids for a while. At least there are a few more there! I hope all is well with you!!! And yes! I would like to see and learn how you did the 3 pendants you showed at the end of this vid. Staying sub'd just in case you decide to make more vids. 😉
Imagine putting this beast on a rda for vape
That's a thought. I still have some ss and ni80 somewhere. No half round though, lol.
Thank you so much! 👋
Thank you so much! Very well done ❤
I use a needle tool: a large gauge, sharp needle in a pin vise. Works well.
Mucho Bla Bla qué pereza amigo
Really great demo thank you for sharing your knowledge you are a grreat teacher too.
Using a drill is such a great idea. LOL, why didn’t I think of that? Thanks!
Really neat. Thank you.
Wow! Thanks for the information. You are good!
It’s the board your working on that distracts the focus. I wish you had a plain background so I could see better. You are doing good work, it’s just distracting.
Also cannot see comments.
Not able to “like” this video or save.
This work is very special to me thank you for being apart of it !!! Many blessings from above !!
Thank you! This was perfect for me. I am new to wire wrapping, and I was trying to tell my husband what I wanted to use a drill and/or tool to create. This made it very clear! I appreciate you speaking to tension, how to set up the wires, drill, speed, pressure, and what to do with the ends to become attachable.
Very cool ty
Very helpful thanks ❤
Thank you my first time watching a man wire wrapping. Excellent work.
The camera keeps loosing focus because the cab is right there in the middle, under your moving hands. A big contrasting stationary thing. It is always in focus.
Thank you for the tip. Some people had said to not record over my grid mat as well. All things to keep in mind for any potential new recordings.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks, most won’t show the details of how to wrap coils. Much appreciated!
Great information. My cabochons are made with resin. Should I put the latex cover on it to protect it? Do you put the latex on the back of the stone?
Thank you so much this was extremely helpful much appreciated
This design is so pretty. Def gonna have to try this out at some point.
Just found you and subbed. I love those rubber bobbins for wire. Great coiling, thank you.
i like your wire work. Laura in Uk
please make a video showing us how you made this bracelet, that you are wearing in this video, it looks great, i would love it if you will show us, step by step. its a shame you have not done any videos in a while as your obviously really good at wire jewelry. I would love to see more of your wire Jewelry videos. please, please, thank you, Laura in Uk
Thank you. I have been feeling the urge to do some videos again. I get comments like yours here and there and it's very encouraging. Thank you again.
Hi Seth, I need help!!! How much base coil (24+30) do I make to wrap around the 20g to make a finished coil of 1" Basically , How do I measure to make coils for any project?
I love this. Thank you.
I sat through the whole video and I so appreciate your explanation of the bobbin and its function you brought up some really good points about the wire stress. Thank you so much.
The very first piece of metal you used for the frame, what was the hardness? Very nice piece btw 👌
Everything in this video was done with dead soft. 🙏
Amazing! Beautiful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to be so detailed. You've helped me more than you know!!! HUGE HUGS to You!!!🤗🤗 BTW... Your work is So Very Beautiful!
Nice job!!
You do beautiful work! Impressive!
May I suggest instead of holding whatever it is against your hand to show whatever it is you're showing you do it over a piece of black felt? The whatever will be SO much easier to see.
Use a little paint brush with a nice point to do the edges.
I’d love to see you do more tutorials.
Great tutorial 🙌
love this vid. So clear and understandable. Thanks.
So happy to have stumbled across your tutorials. Beautiful work 😊❤😘

Seth....good sh*t. Thanks!
Sofa king sick dude
11:35 can you post how you set up the wires to the drill to wrap the 28g over the 24g?
Your video was not amateurish. It was start to finish. Up close and personal. No music needed except for the voice and instructions of a great teacher. TU so much for giving us your process.
