God's Got You! Isaiah 41:13
A number of years ago, a woman came to our midweek prayer time, and after each prayer request, she graciously reminded us, "God's got you!" It was such a great affirmation to hear as we were about to pray. Isaiah 41:13 reminds us of this vital truth.

I Will Give You Rest- Exodus 33:14

In Exodus chapter 33, Moses sought assurance that the Lord would continue to be with them. In verse 14, God gives Moses this assurance, promising, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." We, too, must take hold of this promise. Pastor Chad, I appreciate your research into this Proverb about how science studies reveal that having a cheerful heart can make you healthier in many ways and more resilient to illnesses. In addition to a cheerful heart being good medicine (Proverbs 17:22), I greatly appreciate that God's will for us in Jesus Christ is to rejoice always (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). I love God's will for us to rejoice always, although His will here is not a command but His will [which would be His desire and greater intention for our lives so that we have joy often in our godly behaviors that please Him]. Obviously, life has its many difficulties and can have sad times; yet, whenever life is going well enough, we can rejoice as often as we desire according to His will for us in Jesus Christ.
Amen! Thanks for your additional thoughts regarding this and experiencing the joy of the Lord.

Nice video and well intended. However, The Lord = Baal and God is a title not a name, we are to call upon God's 'name'. That would be יהוה YHWH, pronounced YAHWEH in English to the best of my knowledge, though there are alternatives. Be very carful who you call upon - you may well transgress commandments 1 and 3, along with other serious problems.

A follow-up comment: On February 20, 2017, my mother entered the Church Triumphant. At her funeral, we sang "It Is Well with My Soul" as the Eulogy Hymn. She had always said that she wanted it sung when her time came.
"It Is Well with My Soul" is one of my favorite hymns. What a powerful truth for us to hold on to. Blessings, Chad
@@pastorchad8970 Thank you. For the Processional Hymn, we sang "Blessed Assurance." For the Recessional Hymn, it was "Lift High the Cross." Scriptures read were Psalm 46 by the minister of the Baptist Church that she grew up in, and where she was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Redeemer. Colossians 3:1-4 was read by another local Lutheran minister, and John 7:1-14 was read by our pastor, who also gave the Eulogy. At the gravesite, Psalm 23 was read. Maybe you can do a talk on these passages in the future. We read Psalm 46 on Reformation Day (October 31, which is coming up), Colossians passage on Easter Sunday, John 7:1-7 on St. Thomas Day (December 21 or since 1996, July 3), John 7:8-14 on St. Philip & St. James Day (May 1), and the 23rd Psalm every year on The 4th Sunday of Easter, which is Shepherd Sunday. Our 3-year Gospel reading on that Sunday come from John 10.

Thank you so much Pastor Chad! Awesome word and so timely for me! I just "happened" to stumble across your channel. Actually, I was led by Holy Spirit who knew I needed to hear this! It was funny what you said about the thought of needing to change the oil in your car, popping up in your head. That happens to me too, except with me it is, I need to wash dishes or I need to put clothes in the wash. It is hard for me to be still, but lately, it is like I have been going 180 miles an hour most of my life and then Father God put the brakes on all of a sudden! The last couple of weeks he has told me to REST. It feels weird! I sometimes think I should be doing "something", at least. But I am so thankful for him allowing me to rest. I love spending time with him! He takes awesome care of me! He knows what is up ahead! Now, if he will deal with "people" who don't want me to rest and be still, that would be even more awesome! Lol. God Bless You, Brother.
