      Depends on, how you "fuxk up" the procedure. The contrast of the display must set some way to mak this kind of LCD visible, so better to do carefully.

    Hi ya. Nice build. Where did you get your prints or dimensions? Or did you just reduce actual dimensions to scale? I've got some 1/16 scale RC 6 X 6 trucks that haven't had any use lately. I modded a couple of em. Added a sound module and smoke generator to a couple.

    Pretty neat. I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while now. I have several of the 1/16 scale model millitary trucks, 6 X 6 RC stuff. I've missed em up a bit, even added a sound module and smoke generator to a couple of them. They don't get much use anymore. Neither does our pond. So, this might be a great time to use up some of this .25" luan plywood and dollar store foam I have laying around.

      Really good idea! :) I build my models mostly from residual construction material. So for me, it is really hard to throw out this kind of staff...

    I don't know too much about it, but the direction of the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna in relation to each other affects how well they communicate. The di-pole antennas you use on the NRF24L01 transmit signals in a circle around the antenna, like a plate pushed down on the antenna. To get the best signal, the plates of both antennas should overlap as much as possible. If one plate is tipped on its side, the overlap gets a lot smaller and, as you demonstrated, will result in package loss. I'm assuming that you are making a boat because of the rudders and angled driveshafts? In that case it makes most sense to keep both antennas pointing upwards to give the best range. You could also change the antenna for a 2.4GHz cloverleaf to get better transmission in all directions (like the 5.8GHz cloverleafs used on drones for FPV), but your both is probably not going to do loops or rolls, so di-pole should be perfect! I hope this made sense (and that I'm not wrong). Awesome project! :D

      Thank You for the comment and the detailed description! :) Yes, it is a boat, but in case of all my models is difficult sometimes to get the antennas aligned because of the space and size. And sometimes i faced by theese chineese radio modules, that two of the same type behave differently. I think on 2,4 GHz or higher frequencies, the manufacturing inaccuracy, lenght of the components junctions or soldering problems can cause reflections or interferences. Regardless, it was interesting to develop on these, it was a challenge.

      @@TorbjrnMevik Just another interesting example, i have experimented with TB395 UART radio modules (2,4GHz as well), where i faced, that if i try to use them closer then ~1m, they refuse to communicate. It was really strange, but i guess that maybe some part of the PCB before the mounted antenna functioning as a smaller power antenna, and receives the same signal from the transmitter more or less in the opposite phase. If the radios are close enough to each other this "false" received wave can be large enough to extinguish the useful signal. But this is also just a theory... Your comment was stimulating to think, thanks for that! ;)
