It seems close when watching, but fairly often, our autocross times may only be tenths of a second apart or sometimes even less.

I'm never autocrossing. It's like "I wish this dead flat tarmac was a racetrack."
Then you're missing out. It's the best first step in learning car control. There's no room for excuses. It's just your car, your skill, and the question - how quickly can you get through the course?

I have to be honest but I would struggle my way to even navigate that course :) Good drive
Missing a turn is not uncommon, but typically the course map is published beforehand and you're encouraged to walk the course a few times before the runs start.
No, it does not. Bryan's outside mounted GoPro captures his mirror blocking said camera's view.
It does dominate the screen in this video. Check out some of the other videos where the GoPro is mounted in the same place and you can see it does work better.

88 944 was the most fun car I’ve ever owned. Glad this popped up. I miss all the front engine Porsches. They’re mad expensive now.
They are great but they really are priced out of what they are worth, 6banger water cooled money for a 4banger watercooled doesn't add up
Prices have been going down for a few months now, especially on the more common models like Boxsters. The 944's have gone down also and it's fairly easy to find a project car pretty cheap.
I only paid $500 for this one. and put about $6k in parts. Still the best handling car I have ever driven hands down.
Show me a 6 banger front engine that has 50/50 weight distribution and i'll listen. the 944 handles like no other. @@stijnvandamme76
i had a turbo when i was 19 and blew the motor. stupid #2 rod bearing engineering flaw :(
The video got cut just before that truck stopped right on the exit. Cayman S has excellent brakes! Thanks God
