The reason old songs still rule the Indian mindset is because of three irreplaceable foundations. The music lays down the emotional background by its tune. The instruments speaks out the language of that music. The lyrics, often not given its full due credit, is actually plans the message upon which the music gives its meaning. But the foremost is the rendition which makes or breaks the entire effort of all involved. That combination of musical completeness is few and far in between these days. These Jam sessions very often go astray from these basic needs of the song. But Hamsika you are one of the very few who have lifted it beyond its previous level. I have no hesitation in saying that you took it to much better depth and heights than the original. I am actually a tad bit stunned. From me you get 12 out of a possible 10.

The original stands tall. Very tall - Like Qutub Minar - if you get what I mean. This version flattens it out. Sorry to be discouraging, but then when you go for something sooo good ,you have to be of some decent caliber to be able to compare. And sorry young lady, your claim before singing that the person listening will enjoy, should have been left to the listener to decide.
