It's a good video on your first ever trek from Kasol to Kheerganga, Akshay. I am sure you must've already undergone a lot of trekking briefings from your dad Raju who was an ace trekker. We met at YHAI conducted Nainital trek in 1996, became good friends and also went for Dalhousie trek and Rajmachi in Lonavala. As far as treks are concerned, I will urge you to continue in future. One learns a lot in trekking you must've seen. For instance, travelling and living with a group, taking bare necessities with us at high altitudes, sleeping on tarpaulin covered ground within the canvas tent, having edible food (not rich food like paneer, pizzas, burgers, etc), environment friendly initiatives and importantly getting to know the life of the villagers in remote places. It also includes funtime activities like singing and performing in a group of 30 or 40 during camp fire time (not actual fire) at night. You must've already felt the difference of batteries getting recharged after you returned. In case you decide to continue, I will suggest Youth Hostels Association of India treks. The groups are big, the camp leaders professional. As regards this trek, you have given a good account of your travels. Actually from Kasol, many treks start. One can go to Chanderkhani Pass or Sar Pass which are at a height of about 13000 to 14000 feet. There are also good guides appointed by YHAI to take you over the Passes. It's a great experience. Lastly, I'm sure you are aware that we must always remember that we must respect nature, the surroundings and never challenge them, respect for the trees, the mountains and the people who reside there.
