SMRC Fiesta ST Championship Knockhill July Race 2
Starting P16 after an awful race 1 the overheating and power issues were back with a vengeance!
A huge incident with a car high speed into the Pit wall saw the race red flagged for around 20 minutes. With some post race penalties and a DNF somehow managed to gain 2 spots and finish P14.
Thats the last race of my season so the car will get a new engine over the winter alongside a suspension refresh and other bits.

SMRC Fiesta ST Championship Knockhill July 7th Race 1

Not a great race weekend as a whole from me, I was ill coming into and hadn't prepared the car much or myself. Started P14 and finished P16 on the line. Huge overheating issues (the red warning lights on the digital dash) was robbing the car of power.

Full race video of Race 2 at Croft, started P11 and finished P7 (P2 in class) on the road and subsequently P6 after someone else got a 30 second penalty.

A cracking weekend at Croft, learning a new track in blistering heat and coming away with a P3 & P2 in Class!! So close to the goal of an overall top 5 but there is always next time. Post race penalty for another car promoted me from P7 to P6 🥳. Gutted as that would have got that P5 if i hadnt let Andy Mackie past on the last lap. Croft race prep. New brakes & some weight savings.

After Knockhill I had some things to change, nothing wild but all needed. Brakes make me legal now, oops on that one. Finding the weight to come out of the car is proving difficult but making progress (for free), some things are going to cost a bit to get the kilo's down but that will come later. SMRC Fiesta ST Cup Race 2. 21/04/24

A wet race 2, starting P14 on the grid and having a fantastic scrap with Car 7 of Stuart Murray. Kept it clean and had a blast. Finished P11 and 3rd in the Challenge class. The camera mount is too high I know, it will be much better for Croft in 4 weeks time! Enjoy, like subscribe etc. Trying to grow the channel into something, nothing wild.

All scrutineered and qualified. Didn’t go as fantastic as I’d like but not last. Watching this footage back shows where lots of time can be had and a few bad habits from me that I’ll try and eradicate during the races. Any help/tips just fire them in the comments. Setup wise I’m inclined to leave it as is but I’ll decide in the morning. Enjoy, like subscribe all that good jazz.

The first race weekend is here for the Scottish Fiesta ST championship and I think we are ready to go. The car has been gone over and I’ve read through the regs to make sure it’s all legal. Few jobs done and some tidying up done. I’ll make another video of Scrutineering, Quali etc on Saturday then Race day Sunday. Thanks for watching

My first race in the new Fiesta, Qualified 28th/35 and finished 15th and 3rd in class.
